To my sandbox for this article I have done the following:

  • Changed some of the wording in the Description section and added some new content
  • Added information on the Temple of Hathor and the other structures found around the complex
  • Added internal links to other Wikipedia articles
  • Cleaned up some verbiage and grammar issues.

Contributions As of 04/28[edit]

For this article I have made the following changes:

  • I have added information regarding the history of the construction of the complex in the "Description" section, as well as definitions for certain elements featured at the complex.
  • I have added information regarding "dead" deities that are represented at the complex and how they tie into another archaeological site.
  • I have added information regarding the theft of the Dendera Zodiac.
  • I have added information about the Dendera Light and how Harsomtus is related to Hathor.
  • I have added information under the "Roman mammisi" section regarding the presence of the Romans in Egypt.
  • I have added a section titled "Recent Discoveries" to highlight the sphinx that was found at the site by archaeologists in March of 2023.
  • Throughout the article I have improved sentence structure and overall grammatical styling.


To improve this article, I would like to look for more information to put under the "Tourism" section. The information in this section does not have a source to back it up, and I was only able to find a blog that mentioned the tourist falling from the roof. In addition to this, I think it would be a good idea to incorporate a labeled diagram of the Hathor Temple as opposed to just listing the "layout elements." I don't know if this is something that could be found online or created, but it might be a cool thing to add. Information on the different crypts at the Hathor Temple could be another addition to the article - who was buried in these crypts? Abbymar1416 (talk) 19:40, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
