Proposal for Speedy Deletion of Article on Chance Records

I'm sorry, but this proposal for speedy deletion looks to be coming out of left field. I see nothing on your Contributions page that indicates any particular interest in either music history or American record companies. Chance was an R&B oriented independent label operating in Chicago in the 1950s. It was responsible for over 90 releases on the parent label, plus another 10 on subsidiaries. On the talk page I have mentioned a few of the artists that Chance recorded. The company closed because its principals moved over to Vee-Jay Records, whose article I doubt you will nominate for speedy deletion.-RLCampbell (talk) 01:26, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Greetings Abc518. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. There are plenty of pages out there that really need the chop, but for this particular article a simple notability tag would have sufficed and would help make Wikipedia a lot friendlier.--Technopat (talk) 23:53, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
