Thanks JarrahTree and roger that - As a newbie I didn't understand that child categories inherited the properties of there parents. Have reverted all of my earlier changes with this error.

The categories main page can be a brain buster... Dont get too worried - it was in the old days people used to add all and sundry, the practice is discouraged here on english wikipedia, the process is not as seriously attended to in commons.
Also the article for creation - I am astonished it hadnt been put up sooner - as that stage of dealing with museum collections it is ever present for heritage / transport / museums - it is vital info and component of the processes by which transport museums try to actually get those who know nothing about the intricacies of the running and maintenance of the aforesaid operations (so to speak) JarrahTree 07:43, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks JarraTree - not worried and really appreciate the steer being new.
The article for creation being the Piggott Report?
If so it's fascinating stuff - The Australian museum sector was in a dire state in the 70s and in many ways that report influenced museum/cultural heritage policy for decades. All of its recommendations were not acted on but it influenced the professionalisation of the sector and also recommended the creation of key Australian collecting institutions: The National Museum of Australia and the Australian National Maritime Museum.
I love the fact that the chair Peter Piggott was a successful businessman in the toy industry and was an avid conservationist! I would have love to meet him.
There are probably a host of issues with that article - it's the first I've created - I'd appreciate feedback and happy to improve it.

'

a big problem with most reviewers of articles is that they know nothing about the subject or context - in some cases very valid australian new articles get trashed over very spurious reasoning. There are helpful and quite reasonable editors who have a good ecumenical/multicultural/ understanding - even of things to do with transport,

for a start - I would highly recommend - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Grahamec 10:29, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
