[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of EidosMedia
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on EidosMedia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Morenooso (talk) 04:35, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Your addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:48, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. A Google search of a sample of the text came up word-for-word from Business Week: [1]. While the company certainly seems notable enough for inclusion, the article must be in your own words. Since this site is considered to be "free documentation," copyrighted material is incompatible. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:29, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's still available in the deletion log and accessible by an administrator such as myself. However, the copyrighted content means that I'm not allowed to restore it. Best thing to do is to review WP:YFA for help in creating your first article and simply begin from scratch. PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:05, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:41, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- I could e-mail it to you. Simply go into the "my preferences" tag at the top right of each page, put in your e-mail address and then once you've logged onto your e-mail account and activate the link this system will send you, you can then receive e-mail from me and other users.
