Forgive me

[edit]

I saw the message, and I did not know that American English has another version of the word honour, so please forgive me for my misunderstanding. TheTiger339 (talk) 19:41, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Widespread deletion

[edit]

Can you explain what you mean by dubious notability as it’s a verified and well respected source and the several deletions you have enacted seem unfair at the least? Alvin654 (talk) 12:59, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Alvin654: Are you talking about Her Football Hub Awards? I think herfootball.com itself is a perfectly good source, but the award doesn't meet WP:N in my opinion. I'm just not seeing any independent sources talking about the awards, and it's not an officially recognised honour like the PFA Awards. If you disagree, you can always show examples of 3rd party coverage (i.e. places other than herfootballhub.com or the award winners, anything that's not just routine mentions). I included a Birmingham city article from the club regarding one of their players winning the award - the awards.
I was actually talking about the removal of the “best championship players” article that you had removed from several players pages? Alvin654 (talk) 17:05, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Alvin654: A club article talking about how one of their players won an award is an example of non-independent coverage. Pretty much every mention of the award linked back to herfootballhub.com or the club website. If the award was notable (at least "notable" as defined on Wikipedia), then it would receive more coverage from third-party sources. This seems pretty cut and dried to me, but if you disagree and want to continue the discussion, please start a thread at WT:FOOTY or one of the dispute resolution noticeboards. Okay that’s fine. Can you explain please why you deleted the segments about players being included in the all time beat championship players list? Alvin654 (talk) 19:02, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Alvin654: Can you be specific? Which edit are you talking about? Without knowing what you're talking about, being listed on an all-time list is no different from an award. You can't use the publication that created the list as the source for the list. Ytoyoda (talk) 19:08, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ontario road images

[edit]

Could I kindly request that you add a {{Keep local}} tag to any images I've uploaded, when you copy them over? I have no issues with duplicating images on Commons, but their oblivious approach to copyright laws has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I am a stubborn donkey. I can stamp out copyright shenanigans better on this side of the fence. - Floydian τ ¢ 16:49, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@FLoydian: That's fine. I saw some of your uploads had the template so didn't export those particular images over. Ytoyoda (talk) 16:51, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
