Welcome!

Hello, Adem3311, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like TechGeeks Online, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

A tag has been placed on TechGeeks Online requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Userification request[edit]

(Moved from aricle talk page) This page is currently flagged as meeting criteria for Speedy Deletion. The page should not be deleted because it summarizes a website which people can find helpful.

You need to show that the website is notable by providing reliable sources to verify the information. Xtzou (talk) 16:39, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've updated the page with a notability section. I know it's small but this isn't one of the largest websites. However, this is a growing website. Just because it doesn't get millions of visitors per day doesn't mean it's trash. The website contains original, valuable content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adem3311 (talkcontribs) 17:05, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Though I applaud you efforts, the webpage notability standards state that "The content itself has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself. This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper and magazine articles, books, television documentaries, websites, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations." The second thing you added qualifies as trivial, and the linking statistics are not any indication of notability. While it may be a growing website, it needs to grow a bit more to be notable. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note on my talk page. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 17:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. Can the page be made a draft or taken off from the public pages until I can get several other sources? Then I could republish the page later on when there are more sources of credibility. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adem3311 (talkcontribs) 17:34, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. I will "userify" this page to your user page at User:Adem3311/TechGeeks Online and I will leave a link on your talk page (User talk:Adem3311). --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 17:38, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Adem3311/TechGeeks Online, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Adem3311/TechGeeks Online and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Adem3311/TechGeeks Online during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion.
