Indexing in user space

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not be appropriate to be indexed by external search engines as presently written, because the article you started, Bobby Carrington, is currently being considered for deletion. If the article is kept it will become part of the Web, and if it is deleted, the version on your user page is not appropriate to be indexed. I have tagged this page as __NOINDEX__, which allows editing but minimizes the page's inclusion in search engine results.

If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, you can change the page so that it more clearly meets Wikipedia guidelines, or you can edit it as normal and ignore the tag completely (it will not affect editing).

However, please do not remove the tag without discussion. Thank you. : Noyster (talk), 13:24, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removing material from deletion discussions - please be careful not to remove other people's comments at the same time.

[edit]

Hello, please be careful when you remove material from a deletion discussion, as you should try to avoid removing anyone else's comments or responses at the same time. You are within your rights to remove what you posted (although I think it is certainly worth mentioning, as it could help us locate sources for the subject), but please only remove what you have yourself posted, and do not remove what other people have posted. Thank you and my apologies. Will do accordingly. Slightly new to this. Still learning. Adonismale 04:18, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

Hello, Adonismale. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Miuniku, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

The Wikimedia LGBTQ+ User Group is holding online working days in May. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.

We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.

More information, and registration details, at QW2021.--Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group 02:33, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
