In response to your feedback

[edit]

Adrian, It was reverted because even though you say you're him, Wikipedia editors have no way to verify your identity. When it comes to living people, we ask that any information added in to the article be verifiable, that way the information can be verified as accurate. That being said, there's a set of volunteers that CAN verify your identity. You'll need to email them at: info-en@wikipedia.org.

Nonetheless, the information Ade was challenging (in his last edit) was unsourced, so I have removed it, no probs. Rich Farmbrough, 21:28, 11 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]
The best place to leave sourced information, or requests for inaccurate unsourced material to be removed, if you are the subject of the article is on the talk page: Talk:Adrian Edmondson - since that seems quiet, you can ask for help in a number of places - by typing {{Help me}} here, for example. You can also use the email address above as Kosh says. Rich Farmbrough, 21:35, 11 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Username concerns

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Adrianedmondson) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is the name of a person (Adrian Edmondson) who has an article on Wikipedia; please contact the volunteer response team via email at info-en@wikimedia.org to verify that you are who you claim to be. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 23:57, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 00:18, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who to contact

[edit]
info-en@wikipedia.org. Two people have left you messages saying that. I did remove a couple of sentences that you challenged, a lot of this stuff is of borderline significance whether true or false. Rich Farmbrough, 21:35, 11 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Potential Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Hello Adrianedmondson. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Achowat (talk) 14:35, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My talk page request

[edit]

Hello, I have replied to your message on my talk page. I have also done a quick edit of the article to improve its style and expression and added various citation needed tags for unreferenced quotations and possibly contentious claims. Cheers, Afterwriting (talk) 15:04, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
