Hamed Behdad Another editor thinks this actor is not "notable" enough for Wikipedia. The normal guidelines we try to follow are at WP:BIO. Can you say more clearly why Hamed Behdad is important? Mereda 12:09, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mansour yazdi has the same problem too. I can't find any information about him through Google. Can you say more clearly why he is important? --Mereda 13:43, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Wikipedia should wait until a person/subject is so famous that people can easily find information about him/it within other web-sites. Hamed Behdad will very soon be known as one of the best -if not the best as some commentators claim- of Iranian actors.
Mansour Yazdi is the person whom has contributed so much in Iran Gas Turbine development and his companies and himself are so wellknown within Iranian Oil and Gas sector.

But this isn't just about one person's opinion. Wikipedia's policy on "verifiability" WP:V says -

  1. Articles should contain only material that has been published by reliable sources.
  2. Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reliable source, or it may be challenged or removed by any editor.
  3. The obligation to provide a reliable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it.

So you need to have a reliable published source for each fact in the articles. For example, can you name the commentators who say that Hamed Behdad is a good actor?? And the publications where they said it?? I know that factfinding can be difficult, but don't give up! (You can see I've already found one Indian review of his acting.)
