Qualifying academics with epithets like "well known Western apologist" will get you topic-banned. TrangaBellam (talk) 09:50, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kingdom of Travancore article[edit]

As this is English Wikipedia please point out your rationale for changing the article Title from the Kingdom of Travancore to Thiruvithamkoor Maharajyam. R.COutlander07@talk 16:54, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thiruvithamkoor is and was the official name of the Kingdom. We can rename the page to "Kingdom of Thiruvithamkoor" since you're right this is still the English Wikipedia but it is rather inappropriate to call the kingdom Travancore as this is not what it is called in Kerala. Ahciwbxj (talk) 20:41, 6 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Might the official name be Thiruvithamkoor but neither any of the sources presented in the article mention a name other than Travancore. It seems the title change in a swift without any discussion was inappropriate as you know we can mention the same as the official name in the Infobox. Undiscussed page moves[edit]

Hello Ahciwbxj, it appears that you have moved a number of long-standing articles since you joined Wikipedia approximately 6 weeks ago. [1] Note that articles are named based upon their WP:COMMONNAME, and that these changes have since been reverted pending evidence of consensus. If you wish to suggest a name change, please discuss on the respective article talk page and achieve community support prior to renaming.
