Ahhhhhhh (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

One meaningless edit and a "confusing username" is not a very good reason for an indefinate block. If the user name is so terrible, I'll change it (if that's possible, if not I'll make a new account or whatever I'm supposed to do), and I promise I won't screw up any article again.....trust me, I'm sorry...my IP address was blocked for such a little thing. My IP address is 69.175.172.197 , and hopefully someone will at least take some kind of pity on the fact that I got blocked forever for posting one little joke. Origionally it was only a block that lasted a few days, but for some reason it got changed to forever, so could I at least have a reason for that, when most people seem to get more than one chance before getting blocked forever? I read wikipedia all the time, and I know I shouldn't have put that one thing in, it was a joke between friends, and if I am unblocked I even have some things I'd like to add to a page eventually (a cool little interview about The Mars Volta's new album that I found on a website, if anyone is wondering).....yeah....

Decline reason:

1: Our policy on usernames does tag this as a confusing username. 2: We take vandalism very seriously. We don't like it. It takes hundreds of people hours of each day to clean up. We don't give people that many chances because of it. 3:You were not originally blocked for a small amount of time and then extended, you were originally indefinately blocked for the two reasons given. If you have been blocked elsewhere for a smaller amount of time, this is more reason for us to suspect you of vandalism. 4: This is an encyclopedia. We're not interested in your jokes or in you communicating with your friends. We are not MySpace. Go there instead. 5: The material you propose to add, that you "found" on some website, would be subject to copyright law and thus not acceptable at Wikipedia anyway. --ЯEDVERS 09:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
