[edit]

Hello Abdul, and welcome to Wikipedia. I've moved the edits you made to a couple of pages to your user page. Please note that the main encyclopedia space is for individuals and subjects that are notable in some way. Let me know if you have any questions, and please accept my welcome below. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 04:05, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ahmansoor! My name is Eric, and it is my pleasure to be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you will decide to stay a long time and help us continue to make this one of the greatest sites on the world wide web. Here are a few useful links for you to explore:

In addition to that great wealth of knowledge, let me offer you this advice: do what you enjoy! If you enjoy contributing to sports articles, do so! If you like to correct typoes (...), write new articles, find better ways to organize articles, make useful templates, work on projects with others, or even welcome new members, do so! A happy member of our community is a productive member of our community. You can read all of the above links to the last word, or you can jump right into editing. Be bold!

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have the need to sign a page without the time and date, you can use three tildes (~~~). If you have any questions that aren't easily found with the above links, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia and enjoy!

P.S.- If you'd like to introduce yourself to the community and perhaps get a question or two answered in the process, drop us a line at the new user log.

Hi, I've moved the info on the PC which you added to this article to Penalty corner (field hockey) as otherwise it rather unbalanced what's supposed to be a summary of the game. I've also tidied up a few typos and bits of grammar (although your English is undoubtedly infinitely better than my Urdu or whatever), and paraphrased the history a bit, not all of it was directly relevant to penalty corner tactics, and the casual reader here doesn't really ned to know the full details on the end of penalty corners for substitution, end of half etc etc. David Underdown 10:32, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been speedily deleted as it was a non-notable biography, as per the criteria set out in WP:BIO. Additionally, please read WP:AUTO and WP:VANITY regarding autobiographical articles. The title is also inappropriate as it is far too long. If you want to talk about yourself, please use your userpage rather than create an article.  (aeropagitica)   (talk)  17:22, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:A Hayi 400 2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:A Hayi 400 2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:00, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Mag Pk - A Women Magazine in Urdu and English, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. AllynJ (talk | contribs) 11:14, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request discussion of removal of User:Ahmansoor

[edit]

Good day! You may not be aware of this, but your user page is currently in violation of Wikipedia's accepted policies. Specifically, the policy reads as follows:

Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal homepage. Your page is about you as a Wikipedian. Examples of unrelated content include:

  • A weblog recording your non-Wikipedia activities
  • Extensive discussion not related to Wikipedia
  • Excessive personal information (more than a couple of pages) unrelated to Wikipedia
  • Extensive personal opinions on matters unrelated to Wikipedia, wiki philosophy, collaboration, free content, the Creative Commons, etc.
  • Advertising or promotion of a business or non-Wikipedia-related organization (such as purely commercial sites or referral links)
  • Other non-encyclopedic related material

Unfortunately, your user page reads as a resumé, which is not in compliance with the above policies. I am bringing this to your attention on your talk page so you may voluntarily correct it on your own. I am not intending this as a warning, but if the page is not corrected ASAP, it may well be deleted. Please feel free to discuss this here or on my talk page. Regards!--12 Noon 21:19, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of User:Ahmansoor

[edit]

User:Ahmansoor, a page you created, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Ahmansoor and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Ahmansoor during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.--12 Noon 16:52, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have closed the MfD on your userpage as "moot" -- this means that your changes have rendered the debate obsolete. Someone might still object to your linking to your businesses, but that practice is not uncommon. In any case, you have shown an openness and willingness to cooperate, so there is no need for formal debate any longer. Best wishes, Xoloz (talk) 10:58, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Midtown comics"

[edit]

A page you created, Midtown comics, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a company or organization, but does not indicate why it is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thanks. ...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 09:34, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Midtown comics

[edit]

I have nominated Midtown comics, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Midtown comics. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Unsure whether it was an accident or not, but it might be best to avoid copying other editors signatures :) Seddσn talk Editor Review 07:13, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop re-adding the advertisement-like material thta I deleted from this article. It was, in large part, because of those deletions and the re-write, thta the article was kept and not deleted, but if you keep re-adding it, it will almost certainly be deleted at another AfD. It is an encyclopedia article and not an advertisement, so cut it out. Ed Fitzgerald t / c 17:52, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for Image:Midtown-Comics-Logo-Hi-Res.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Midtown-Comics-Logo-Hi-Res.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 23:56, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You received this notice on the 17th, and you have edited since then, on the 18th. For future reference, if you receive a notice like this, you should take steps to quickly solve the problem that's been brought to your attention. If you do not, automated processes or editors who work almost exclusively on deleting images will delete your image lickety-split.

In this case, a bot removed the image from the Midtown Comics article because it had been uploaded for five days without a license or fair use rationale. The next step would be that the image would be deleted because it was "orphaned", i.e. not used in any article.

To solve this problem, I had added a FUR and license to the image, and I have also reduced its resolution, to keep it in line with Wikipedia fair use policies. Ed Fitzgerald t / c 07:28, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop trying to introduce advertisement-like material into this article. Ed Fitzgerald t / c 06:32, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Media point logo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 15:07, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Saman Rashid 2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Saman Rashid 2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Melody Hossaini create page

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Melody Hossaini create page. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of The Apprentice candidates (UK) series seven. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of The Apprentice candidates (UK) series seven - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Singularity42 (talk) 22:08, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Abdul Mansoor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Proposed deletion of Saman Rashid

[edit]

The article Saman Rashid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wasn't able to find any references that she is notable. References and external links given are for the Pakistan field hockey team generally (which is red).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Tavix (talk) 20:08, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
