integrating cites[edit]

Note that the cite you added was:

  • already being used in the article so it is preferable to re-use it (thus it is "named" if you watch the syntax.)

and

  • the url you originally included accidentally added the ")" right at the end and thus the syntax broken because the parenthesis became part of the url

— it wouldn't hurt to learn to use Wikipedia:Citation templates though sometimes you can get away with using more bare syntax if properly understood.

suggest refinement[edit]

Consider this edit and review Bahá'u'lláh's_family#Bahá'í_apologia for summarizing in the place you added - something indeed needs to be said there and well spotted but avoid using the term "Guardian" which is obscure for the general reader. More appropriate would be something like Shoghi Effendi, head of the religion in the 1920s to 1950s … something like that. Please seriously consider reviewing the work that has been done in various articles to get a idea how things are done, where they have already been done, in the work to improve articles. --Smkolins (talk) 20:52, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Differences between islam and the bahai faith[edit]

The article Differences between islam and the bahai faith has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTESSAY and WP:SYN, especially because several of the statements end with "suggests that..." or "seems to suggest that..."

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Not to mention work already done over at Bahá'í Faith and the unity of religion as the main approach to all such engagement. And you have all these problems with the article. I *highly* suggest you learn to use a wikipedia:sandbox (actually make one over at User:Ahmed99999/Sandbox) and review how to develop an article and work with wikipedia style to see what can be done well. Such an article is very difficult to do and while it might fit your view that these details are illumined from primary sources and just quoting them that is not the approach of wikipedia (and thus why wikipedia:Reliable sources is a central matter in wikipedia. And or have a talk over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Bahá'í Faith (on the talk page.) --Smkolins (talk) 10:08, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:36, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
