Lee McKenzie

[edit]

Hi Airtraveler00. My problem wasn't so much with the phrasing of your addition, more with the fact that it didn't present a neutral point of view and wasn't supported by reliable sources (as a general rule, blogs are not considered as "reliable sources" (see WP:BLOGS) although I concede that Humphrey would be acknowledged as an expert in the field and therefore his blog would carry more weight than one I might write, for example). Probably the only statement that is directly supported by Humphrey's blog itself is that McKenzie's interview with Hamilton caused controversy. The statements that she "took advantage of an angry and clearly upset Hamilton" and "provoked a response through her targeted questioning" and "failed to question Button about being caught napping at the restart" are only supported by comments in response to the blog, which must be considered as unreliable sources and/or mere opinion. The Daily Telegraph reference only confirms that Button entered the Red Bull team pit box, and doesn't mention anything about McKenzie failing to ask him about it (again, that is only raised in comments in response to Humphrey's blog). Finally, the statement that "This caused fans of the sport to question her abilities in online feedback" doesn't present a neutral point of view - while indeed some of the people commenting on Humphrey's blog have called McKenzie's abilities into question, there are other comments (e.g. #33) which comment favourably on her abilities. Happy to discuss further. DH85868993 (talk) 03:28, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
