A tag has been placed on User:Alafra21/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ——SerialNumber54129 11:33, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notes[edit]

Hi! I wanted to give you some notes on your draft here. It's been restored so we can work on improving it together.

Here are some starting notes - I know that you've blanked the page, so let me know when you're ready to start adding stuff back.

  • When writing, be careful of promotional and non-neutral prose. This is something that can honestly take some time to get used to, as some of it will be wording that we see or use in our everyday life and as such, may come across as innocuous. Mission statements are one of the more difficult things to work around. They can be easier to work with once they're placed in context - this is something that may have contributed to the page, since it was more set off aside as part of the notes you had on the food bank. (Don't beat yourself up over that! The important thing is to move forwards and put forward a strong article in the end.)
  • The sources so far are good, but definitely try to find as many independent, reliable sources as you can. Make sure that they're not press releases or primary sources - if you can find mention of this food bank in book and scholarly sources, that would be excellent.

I'm in an airport at the moment, so I'll try to check back in tomorrow or later tonight. I just wanted to give you a few notes while I could. --Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:54, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
