Welcome![edit]

Hello, Alanderson3, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Response[edit]

Hi! What issues are you running into? I saw that you have the following pages as your chosen topics:

The first thing to do is to see if there's anything in their page that needs to be updated, fixed, or added. Here are some examples:

  • 30 Minute Meals: Needs to be updated.
  • Rachael Ray: This needs citations for some of the claims in the article. While looking for these sources you may want to check and see if the unsourced claims are accurate or out of date.
  • Food truck: The around the world section could probably use expansion.

The Guy Fieri article is a little fuller, so it'll be a bit harder to find something to add to the article. You may want to see if one of his books may need an article or improve an article like Party Line with the Hearty Boys, which needs a lot of work since its current state is pretty awful.

If you're unsure of what to add to the pages, a good option is to do some searching and see what comes up. I highly, highly recommend making an appointment with one of the librarians at your school - I can help search a little by giving recommendations, but I don't have full access to your school's databases in the way they do. One database that I'm fairly familiar with is JSTOR, which is a pretty standard database. Searching for Rachael Ray brings up this search result, Domesticating Cuisine: Food and Aesthetics on American Television. For searching on your own before and after the visit with the librarian, you can use these search tips: [1], [2].

I hope this helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:16, 25 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
