Talkback
Hello, Ale jrb. You have new messages at User talk:Ale jrb/Scripts/igloo. Message added 13:42, 5 April 2010 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Your edit, which I linked to above, added the following text to the article: "please dont go to this school you will be treated like crap and be sucked in to being a christian or so Pastor Dave Burt thinks." This is a non-constructive change, and constitutes vandalism, which is not permitted by Wikipedia policy. If you were trying to revert this change, please be more careful in the future. Thanks. Ale_Jrbtalk11:03, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
In what way should I take my own advice? My edit was correct - your edit was vandalism. If you were trying to remove the text, but accidently added it instead, that's not really my fault. Ale_Jrbtalk11:09, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Go through my contributions, at what point do you find any vandalism whatsoever? You don't, do you know why you don't? Because I am not a vandal. Lefty101 (talk) 11:13, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
No, I'm seriously trying to assert the importance of reading diffs and noting prior changes before you warn someone of vandalism when quite clearly they have just spent the last 5 minutes of their time trying to remove it. You might like to know that actually fixing the article sometimes involves the replacement of certain items so they can be manually deleted, a situation which you can view on the diffs page for the article in question. You also need to be aware, that in your actions, you infact replaced an inflammatory paragraph that I had just removed. Once again, you can view this conundrum on the diffs page. I hope this clears the confusion up, and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Kindest regards, Lefty101 (talk) 11:22, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
My edit did not replace any text at all - it merely removed an inappropriate paragraph (that you added). If you intend to accuse me of muddling facts, that please ensure you are not, in fact, guilty of your accusation. Ale_Jrbtalk11:24, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
As you seem incapable of processing basic facts, I am now going to lay it out quite clearly for the benefit of yourself; [1] is the diff of the page after you waded in on the situation, as you can quite clearly see, in the section marked under your name, the paragraph is infact - there and inflammatory, look to the right, you will see that in the section marked under my name, you can see that paragraph has been removed. This is because you re-added the paragraph and I removed it. Lefty101 (talk) 11:34, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Lol - please read WP:DIFF. That paragragraph was neither added or removed by me. I simply reversed one intermediate change where you had re-added vandalism. ;) Ale_Jrbtalk11:55, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Please revert your deletion of my change of Meena Bazaar
Sir / Maam,
it is not with the purpose of advertisement or vandalism that i have made the changes...
i would like to draw your attention that Meena Bazaar is a house-hold name in North India.
Meena Bazaar is the pioneer of one of the leading industries in India - the Textile industry.
the brand Meena Bazaar has been in India since 1970.
it has grown from a manufacturer - to a wholesaler - to a retailer with immense brand recognition, around the World!
i would humbly request you to revert your deletion.
I'm not sure who editing Wikipedia wants to call the Eden account a myth but that is opinion. Account is the more accurate terminology. I'm interested in accuracy not somebody elses opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.13.103.100 (talk) 11:14, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
While not a critical addition (rare to mass-clear autoblocks, so the ipblocklist loading isn't as obtrusive), adding the same button to clearing autoblocks would be nice for consistentcy. –xenotalk17:17, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
I could make it reverse the watchlist too, it wouldn't be very hard. I'm pretty sure the watchlist has always been that way round though. Hasn't it? O_o Ale_Jrbtalk20:53, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the whitelisting, when I try to connect to the server it gives me this message: '- Warning: igloo could not connect to the remote server. Loading stopped.' I've tried loading it three times too. Nifky^08:36, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
My host decided to delete all my databases. I'm not quite sure why they thought this would be a good idea, but it means I will have to regenerate the whitelist, which will provide the perfect opportunity to rewrite the whitelisting tool. It may be some time. :P Ale_Jrbtalk09:14, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Nope, it turns out their MySQL server died. :D igloo will work again when they fix it, which will probably take a day or so. Ale_Jrbtalk10:29, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Warning: igloo is not compatible with this browser. Loading stopped. This is the error message that appears when trying to launch igloo with Safari. Maybe Ale jrb could fix it. ~NerdyScienceDude (✉ message • changes) 03:39, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Firefox and Chrome and both substantially better than Safari, and both will work on all three major operating systems. If you choose to use an inferior browser that is unable to run some relatively simple Javascript as it should do, that's not really my problem. Sorry. Ale_Jrbtalk10:51, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
I love the way you put that. :) Chrome and Firefox are ugly, in my opinion, so I use Safari. Plus, Apple makes it, so it is obviously perfect. Hi878 (talk) 18:37, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Actually, could you whitelist me? I've decided that I'll just use Firefox for this (*shudders*), so that I can see if I like it. Hi878 (talk) 21:01, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Unbelievable... I've been trying it for a few minutes, and I think that Igloo is amazing. Thank you for making it! Hi878 (talk) 00:35, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I think that I have found the other one. Is this what you were thinking of? I think that mine is better, the picture, and the words. :) You should pick one to put on the Igloo page, though. (And it would be just fantastic if it was mine - not that I'm trying to sway your opinion or anything. :) ) Hi878 (talk) 15:27, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
You should add the code for each one, so people can get them without having to go to the edit page to see the code. Hi878 (talk) 15:37, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
I've found a few bugs. First, and this is more of a feature request than a bug, there is a certain user that I accidentally rolled back a few days ago, and now it list all of his edits as probable vandalism. Will there be a way to mark users as "Ok" in the next version? Anyhoo, the second bug is that it keeps crashing about every ten minutes, and I have to reconnect. I don't know if this is my internet, or Igloo, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post it here Third, fairly often, links that are on the right side of the screen don't work, I click again and again and nothing happens. I would say this happens once every 10-20 links. In spite of these problems, I still think Igloo is fantastic, and I realize that it is still in the alpha release, so I don't expect it to be perfect. Keep up the good work! Hi878 (talk) 04:17, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
If by 'right side' you mean 'left side', then I'm aware of this. I can't remember if I disabled the code that was causing an error, or let it throw the error, but either way it doesn't work sometimes. The connection issue is a combination of both - the server's quite crap, but I hardly ever lose connection, so it might also be you. You will be able to undo mistaken reversions and remove the vandal flagging for people you have reverted (at some point) in the future. Ale_Jrbtalk07:59, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
I did mean left. Right always sounds so.... right, so I say that quite often when I really mean left. Also, there is a good chance that it is me, because I'm on an old-ish computer, and the internet on it isn't quite as dependable and speedy as I would like. And also, that undo button can't come soon enough. :) Hi878 (talk) 22:37, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
