Hello Ale jrb. I was wondering if the above script could be modified to show the oldest unpatrolled new pages. If you have a minute, could you possibly try it? If it's complicated or can't be done, that's fine. I did ask TheJosh a few months ago, but he is not very active. Thanks, Airplaneman 00:13, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I have seen this. Will look at it when I get back from holidays. Ale_Jrbtalk 10:04, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Now that Safari 5 is out...

...could you please make igloo compatible with Safari? Thanks. ~NerdyScienceDude () 20:07, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Igloo thingamajigger

When a user is already blocked, and there is a block notice on the userpage, such as on User talk:66.76.201.118, it still adds the level one warning template. Is there a way that Igloo could check to see if the user is already blocked? ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 23:41, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Btw, could you grant Dripping_Flame access? mono 01:33, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
And take User:Vigneshprodigy, User:69.181.249.92 off the blacklist?  ock  04:27, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about the delay - been on holiday. :) It is not necessary to grant anyone access - igloo can be used by anyone with rollback priviliges. I will remove those users from the vandalism list. Ale_Jrbtalk 10:01, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Also, please remove WikiCopter (talk · contribs). Thanks!  ono  22:30, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Restarting a previously deleted page

My first attempt on Wikipedia was speedily deleted per G12 by you. Back then I was not aware that there was a sandbox to test editing. Having been around here for a while now, I intend to start the article again. Here is a collection of refs for the article. I will start working on the article again only after you give me the go ahead. Thank you.--Forty twoThanks for all the fish! 08:44, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

The article was deleted as a copright infringement rather than a notability worry - so if you don't directly copy from any of your sources, it should all be fine. Also, while I didn't read many of the sources, if they all contain relevant information, then I'd suggest notability probably isn't a problem either. Best of luck with the article! :) Ale_Jrbtalk 19:25, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

igloo bug

If you look at my contributions, you will notice igloo has stopped issuing warnings. Could you fix this? The multiple quotation mark bug still exists, so I would also appreciate that being fixed. Safari and iPad support would also be appreciated. Thanks. ~NerdyScienceDude () 19:58, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

It is working again. I would like to see the quotation mark bug fix, Safari and iPad support, CSD tagging, and UAA reporting in the next version. It's nice to see you are working on the standard undo feature. ~NerdyScienceDude () 20:24, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Better hooking, maybe?  ono  20:52, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately, saying 'igloo has stopped issuing warnings' isn't very in-depth, and isn't hugely helpful when it comes to tracking down bugs, especially if (according to the timestamps) it started working again ~20 minutes later. If it is now working, there wasn't a bug in the code, so I have no idea about the cause. If it happens, check your JavaScript console for errors, and let me know again.

I haven't got, and have absolutely no intention of ever getting, an iPad, so if its browser handles JavaScript in a way that's any different from standard-Safari-on-Windows, it will never work. If it handles it in the same way, and the interface fits on the iPad screen, then it will start working if and only if it starts working on Safari. With regards to that, I shall check now to see what the current behaviour is. If it works, I shall enable it. If not, I won't. I'm massively busy with lots of other stuff at the moment, and while I still occasionally work on the igloo codebase, that's work on useful features, rather than work on compatibility with a browser that's (let's be honest), pretty inferior to both Firefox and Chrome (made by a company that's brilliant at making mp3 players and phones <3 but pretty rubbish at just about everything else). So there you go. Ale_Jrbtalk 19:33, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

I won't argue and go into detail, but I hate Firefox (slow) and Chrome (odd) (and IEeeek (ridiculous)). Safari (on Mac) is the most native interface, and also the fastest.  ono  19:40, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
From personal experience, I have found Chrome faster and more compatible with Wikipedia (albeit a bit buggy) than Safari on the Mac. Overall, I think it's a net positive. I think what Ale jrb is saying is that Firefox is the best at handling html, while Safari and IE can't do it very well; he doesn't want to waste time he could be spending bettering igloo working out all of the kinks that Safari and IE compatibility present. Airplaneman 23:06, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
I have successfully loaded igloo in Safari 5 (see revert here; image here).  ono  08:09, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
And I'm getting an incompatible browser notice while trying to load igloo with Safari 5. Hmm... ~NSD () 18:54, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Haven't got round to adjusting it yet. Maybe tomorrow. Ale_Jrbtalk 22:13, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
  • @NSD- Safari>Preferences>Advanced>Show develop in menu bar; Develop>User Agent>Firefox 3.6.3-Mac.  1year  03:24, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
That is soo awesome! Airplaneman 03:47, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
It actually loads. Let me guess, changing the user agent makes the launcher think the browser is Firefox, which causes the "browser ok!" to appear. ~NSD () 22:15, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes.  ono  23:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Changing the user agent always used to make it recognise the browser - it just didn't work. If it now does, that's good. Ale_Jrbtalk 09:06, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

igloo tool

I got a Level 1 warning re. vandalism for an edit which wasn't vandalism. It was an useful edit and has corrected an error of the previous editor. My edit was reverted by this edit which now imply an incorrect state of the artice (table is incorrectly formatted, sections are double). The editors said it was an "accident". My question is now: How can be removed my "Level 1 warning". Thanks, Gerald SchirmerPower (talk) 12:42, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

(talk page stalker)Erm... if you want to remove it, just delete the text from your page. You may also want to contact the reverting editor about this. Regards, Airplaneman 17:04, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh, he has. The problem has been solved. It was a simple mistake on my part and it has since been reverted, and I've apologized for my mistake. :) MJ94 (talk) 00:42, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
At least he has a larger vocabulary than most... No cussing. Mr. R00t Talk 00:48, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Igloo Stuff

First, I asked something earlier, and Mono's strange habit of asking question in unrelated sections seems to have hidden it, so I will ask it again. When a user is already blocked, and there is a block notice on the userpage, such as on User talk:66.76.201.118, it still adds the level one warning template. Is there a way that Igloo could check to see if the user is already blocked? The IP isn't blocked anymore, but it was when the warning was delivered when it was. Second, would it be possible to do something like add a link to the interface that opens the article whose diff you are looking at in a new tab? I've realized that I do a lot of copying the title of the article into the box in a different tab, and this would help quite a bit. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 22:44, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

And in addition to all of that, it would be fantastic if you could remove 24.34.148.49 from the blacklist. This IP is very active, and was probably mistakenly reverted. Now, about half of the darker red diffs are this IP. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 00:30, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
You can open the history of the article you're viewing in the tab you used to launch igloo if you go to the history icon and click 'more'. I'll see about the rest of it - I have other priorities at the moment, so nothing's really happening with igloo at the moment. Ale_Jrbtalk 18:45, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
All I ever see is a spot that says "full history", and it doesn't do anything. Would that count as a bug? :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 04:12, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Full history will launch the history of the article in the window or tab you used to open igloo. Ale_Jrbtalk 16:48, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
But it doesn't do anything when I click it. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 17:02, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Browser? JavaScript errors? Ale_Jrbtalk 00:05, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
I take that back. It's working now. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 01:55, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

I think you deserve this

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Nobody seems to have given you one of these for Igloo, so I figured I would. Thank you for creating such a wonderful anti-vandalism tool. Although it isn't perfet yet, it has been extremely helpful in vandal-hunting, and I most certainly would not have been able to do as good of a job without it.Thank you for this, and good luck with everything else you do. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 22:59, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! :) (: :) Ale_Jrbtalk 18:46, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
