Peer Review Contribution

This article was extremely well done and I think the topic will be a very helpful resource in the future. One aspect of the contribution that piqued my interest and got me thinking was when you spoke about the men leaving the agricultural sector and their being a mass migration to the cities. I was thinking of the effect that this shift might play in Indian society. It could have the effect of making a hard situation worse, but on the other hand it could be empowering. Men leaving behind these huge masculine power voids that need to be filled. many think that a similar situation is what fueled women's rights activists in america. During both world wars when men left their farms to fight a foreign war, it left women at home to realize that the jobs that used to be unattainable for them were now their responsibility. "Yes We Can" was the motto of this generation of newly empowered women. whether this is the case or not in India it would be interesting. or short explanation of why it has or hasn't made a change would be interesting for me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12345Aday!
