Ng.j (talk) 05:52, 18 December 2010 (UTC)There have been a few articles missed which I found by going through the log. I am going to adjust the number up as it is better to have to sort through more candidates than not have them picked up.[reply]

I saw it missed one article because it wasn't categorized. The reason I had moved it back down to 5 pts. is because it picks up articles that have the word "dam" in it that may not have to do with an actual dam. Every time the word dam is in the article, it is 10 points. So any article with the word dam in it twice picks up. I have adjusted it a few times and found categories to be the best indicator. Also, stubs like Idamalayar Dam are hard to catch in general. Oddly enough too, if you make a dam article in your sandbox and move it into the mainspace, the bot won't find it. I think lowering the point values can bring up too many false positives. Are you familiar with the search terms? Maybe we can make something better.--NortyNort (Holla) 16:02, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The number of points doubles if it is in the lead, not if it appears twice. Having it picked up only if it is categorized properly seems like a waste. I have been using it for WP:Hospitals with pretty loose settings, and even so there aren't that many results to go through. There will be false positives, but that's why we have people to go through the list to tag them. Making "Dam" worth more points also has the benefit of finding articles with "Dam" in the title. Ok, I was aware of the lead counts or all of the rules for that matter. I started the search a few months ago and it has been a learning experience. Thanks for the help and info.--NortyNort (Holla) 16:22, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
