I use it to pick out narrative prose articles recently added so that the WP:Novels WikiProject can scan such articles, tidy them and announce them to the wider project. 15:36, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Seems like a good idea although I've only just realised that it exists. <KF> 22:27, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Problem in literature archive[edit]

At the bottom of User:AlexNewArtBot/LiteratureSearchResult/archive12 the bot hasn't been putting in the details of the articles its found, except for the time. I think i've seen this on another page some time ago, tho can't remember which one. PS Thanx for this bot, very usefull.--Bsnowball (talk) 15:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

George Georgescu[edit]

Yesterday, I put up an article about the Romanian classical conductor George Georgescu; today, I find that it has 35 "what links here" entries from AlexNewArtBot. Some are sensible, or at least understandable (like the ones related to countries mentioned as "he guest conducted here" in the article--although I think some countries, like Israel, appear in the links but do not appear in the article), but others really had me scratching my head. Among them:

  • Cricket
  • LiteratureSearchResult (OK, one of the sources is a book review, but....)
  • Horticulture
  • Plants
  • Literature
  • LawFeedLog
  • Military (Yeah, the article mentions in passing Romania's switching sides in WWII, but....)
  • MilitarySearchLog
  • Architecture
  • HipHopLog (!)
  • Railways (Well, the article mentions he went to a train station once, but....)
  • Bridges
  • Cuisine

I think the number of entries may still be growing, too. Is this really the way this bot is supposed to work? Will the oddities go away again? Drhoehl (talk) 19:37, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now, this is getting silly. Among the further links that have appeared are:

  • GeologyLog
  • ClimateLog
  • PhysicsLog
  • MedicineLog
  • MedicineSearchResults
  • FungiLog
  • BeautyPageantsLog (!!)

Beauty pageants? Fungi? Drhoehl (talk) 21:12, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm wondering how this article ended up here. It's an original stage musical that isn't based on a book and has nothing to do with literature. LargoLarry (talk) 12:45, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback[edit]

Regarding the {{feedback}} tag, I have been using the page recently for tagging articles for WikiProjects. maclean (talk) 17:47, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
