Hits & Misses

[edit]

Alex, a couple of comments:

  1. Cutzamala de Pinzón (created as Cutzamala de Pinzon @ 14:31, 7 February 2008; moved by me 12+ hrs later) doesn't appear to have been reported (or even logged) by the MexicoSearch, although it should have triggered /mexic*/, /guerrero/ & /nahuatl/.
  2. Guadalupe Miranda went through the log [1] but wasn't reported as a "mexican" article because of /new mexico/, /texas/, etc, although looking at the article it pretty much should of been. Perhaps those rules are bit too harsh, given the shared history of the border region?
  3. Pueblo Mágico (created by me, 15:57, 7 February 2008). Should have triggered just about every rule in the rule list, but neither logged or reported. Same applies to the following:
  1. 01:27 7 February 2008 ‎Jesús Martínez Ross
  2. 01:14, 7 February 2008 ‎Miguel Borge Martín
  3. 01:02, 7 February 2008 ‎Joaquín Hendricks Díaz
  4. 21:35, 6 February 2008 ‎Mario Villanueva
  5. 04:51, 28 January 2008 ‎Sergio Salvador Aguirre Anguiano
  6. 04:40, 28 January 2008 ‎José de Jesús Gudiño Pelayo
  7. 19:33, 26 January 2008 ‎Jorge Castañeda y Álvarez de la Rosa
  8. 19:22, 26 January 2008 ‎Juan N. Silva Meza
  9. 19:52, 14 January 2008 ‎Puerto Ángel
None of those were picked up by any of the NewArtBots (Mexico, Law, Politics...), and I don't recall seeing them pass through the logs and getting rejected, either. What they do all have in common is that none were "marked as patrolled" by the new-page patrol. In fact, if you take a look at the subset of new pages here, it's pretty clear that the NewArtBot doesn't pay attention to non-patrolled pages: the non-yellow ones there were all picked up by the Bot, the yellows weren't. Which means there's a lot of newly created articles not getting detected. But is it a bug or a feature?

Hope this is helpful, and in no way taken as a criticism of your very cool bot. Aille (talk) 20:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
