Speedy deletion nomination of Eteri lamoris[edit]

Hello Alex Kiria,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Eteri lamoris for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. LowLevel73(talk) 18:49, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, could you please clarify your question? Cheers, Thanks, L235-Talk Ping when replying 20:48, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I had to delete the latest incarnation of that article because it was blatantly promotional, almost literally screaming, "Look she's great, great, GREAT!" Wikipedia articles should neutrally summarize what reliable independent sources have reported about a subject. You cited but a single such source, and that said very, very little about Eteri Lamoris. If she's as widely acclaimed a singer as your article asserted, surely there are lots of news reports about her exploits and accomplishments? A Google News search didn't find even a single such source. My suggestion would be to use the Article Wizard to write a well-sourced, neutral draft and to submit it for a review by an experienced editor. Huon (talk) 21:18, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

About the Eteri lamoris‎ page[edit]

Hello Alex Kiria, thanks for your contribution! :) I have noticed that the speedy deletion was quite... speedy and that the article has been already removed. The notability of the subject was not in discussion, here. The issue was the copyright, because the article contained copy-and-pasted verbatim phrases from a web page whose contents weren't explicitly licensed as "free to use".

My suggestion to you is to re-publish a draft of the article in your personal sandbox, changing the problematic phrases and only then moving the article from your sandbox to the "main namespace" (which is where you published the article that was deleted). The tool [Copyvios] can help you to check that your draft will not contain any content from that web page or other web pages.

Let me know if I can help in some way. Happy editing! LowLevel73(talk) 20:06, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eteri Lamoris, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
