Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Alexander Kirk without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 19:34, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Alexander Kirk. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:09, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi C. Fred.
Yes sorry I am new to this and find it all a little confusing. I am Alexander Kirk and deleted the ref as it linked to the CV of someone else and thought it should be on their page. I hope I did the right thing.
Many thanks. Alexander1455 (talk) 14:59, 12 March 2013 (UTC) (moved from User talk:C.Fred)[reply]
A couple of things. First, although the link to another actor's credits is not the best source, it's better than no source. A complete lack of sources usually leads to the deletion of an article.
Second, you didn't actually delete the reference. You deleted the code that displays all the references on the page. It's the material within the <ref></ref> tags in the body of the article that contain the actual reference. Again, instead of deleting that, it would be better to replace it with a more reliable source. —C.Fred (talk) 20:43, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
