Were you trying to create an "inline" article tag [like this one]? Wikipedia already has a large collection of those, which you can check by visiting Template:Inline tags. There is an even larger collection of the "banner" article tags, which you can review by visiting the index page at Wikipedia:Template messages. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:43, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies from the Wikipedia community

Alex,

It looks like you've had a tough time with joining Wikipedia, and I would like to apologize to you. We try to tell editors to not bite the newcomers, but sometimes things don't quite work out as they should. If you're having a tough time understanding how things work here, I would suggest you head over to the teahouse, where editors should do a good just helping you out. I hope that we haven't driven you out for good and would like to see you continue editing.

Claiming on your user page that you Have Made 5 good Articles and tons of edits and I get the "DYK Medal" when you have made no edits at all to DYK or GA reviews is a bit misleading to say the least. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nickelodeon Shows (1965-1988), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Double Dare (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

December 2013

[edit]

You have been editing Wikipedia since 25 October 2013.[1] In the past approximately two months, you have created a variety of new pages that have been deleted.[2] In addition, from 21:12, 25 November 2013 to 22:59, 13 December 2013, your edits outside of your user pages have been undone/reverted, including transcluding a non-existent AfD discussion,[3] removing categories,[4] removing refimprove templates from article pages,[5][6] introducing apparent factual errors,[7] removing hat notes and hidden instructions,[8] and adding implausible links to a disambiguation page.[9]. If you continue in this way, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. -- Jreferee (talk) 13:46, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. -- Jreferee (talk) 14:00, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Does this like mean that I am blocked from Wikipedia for 24 hours or some amount of time or mean i can't create articles and just edit existing ones? --Alexandharrison (talk) 14:14, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, you are not blocked. It simply means that you and others are invited to discuss your recent edits.--Auric talk 14:51, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Alexandharrison, I have unfortunately had to suppress some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information about you. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages! —DoRD (talk) 16:04, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why didint you just tell me to remove the thing rather then destroying my whole thing. You know I will not be able to view that ever again forever for the rest of my life. --Alexandharrison (talk) 16:18, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have the ability to restore parts of your page. Would you like for me to do that? —DoRD (talk) 17:44, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, please restore the following sections:

  • Things I Witten About
  • TAAHS
  • Main Section (except Infobox)

--Alexandharrison (talk) 12:55, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I have recreated part of your page, but have not included any personal information. As I said above, please do not reveal personal details on Wikipedia (or any other public website, really).
Also, if you have not done so yet, please read this page. Please enjoy the site, but also stay safe! —DoRD (talk) 13:43, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I Want to Make a special page for my user

[edit]

Can anybody give me some info on making a page. (Please Note: this is not my first article.) I Want to Create a article (well a "special" page) called: User: AlexandHarrison/My Members--Alexandharrison (talk) 13:30, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by a "Special page"? --Mdann52talk to me! 14:05, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like he just means a sub-page. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:18, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi. It would need to be called "User:Alexandharrison/My Members" to match the lower-case "h" in your actual username. Then all you need to do is enter "User:Alexandharrison/My Members" in the search box at the top right and it should take you to a page asking if you want to create it. In fact, I've done it for you and you now have User:Alexandharrison/My Members with a couple of words of sample text in it - just edit it the usual way. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:02, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I Want to protect my subpage so only I can edit it. How will I do that --Alexandharrison (talk) 22:42, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you make its name end with .js or .css then only you (and admins) will be able to edit it. Note that if you do this, formatting won't work in it. If you're okay with other established users being able to edit it, you can request it be semi-protected at WP:RPP. That way, it will work like a normal page. Jackmcbarn (talk) 22:58, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Alexandharrison/My Members/User of the week archive requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, image description page, image talk page, mediawiki page, mediawiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, or user talk page from the article space.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. –Dream out loud (talk) 22:20, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's a subpage for my user! --Alexandharrison (talk) 22:21, 19 December 2013 (UTC) And I made it to a subpage out of the original so please don't delete it or the other will be deleted too! --Alexandharrison (talk) 22:21, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This was the redirect left over from when you created the page in the wrong location and then moved it to the right location. I have deleted this redirect, but your subpage is still there. —DoRD (talk) 22:24, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012 TV series) (season 1). Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Diffs: [10][11][12][13][14] There was no TMNT episode entitled "Booyaka-Showdown". This was on-air promotional rhetoric that fans misinterpreted and proliferated as fact on Wikia, then attempted to force onto Wikipedia. When the two-part episode aired, it was was titled "Showdown". If you submit this information again, administrative intervention will be pursued, since it does not appear that you are here to build an encyclopedia constructively. Hello Alexandharrison. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "This Article Contains Opinions".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/This Article Contains Opinions}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 18:41, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
