Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:33, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Drmargi (talk) 22:37, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Alexpotter1996, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

I made changes to London Underground for a number of reasons. For something as old and important as the Underground, putting information about a very recent TV show right up at the beginning of the article gave is disproportionate importance. Most readers looking for information about the Underground want to know about its history, how many people it carries, and so on. The TV show is interesting, but not that important to the subject matter. Also, the style in which you wrote it made it sound like a promo for the TV show. Encyclopaedia articles show be neutral and balanced. Wikipedia is not here to promote a TV show, or it Facebook page. Take a look at the links I've provided above. They will help you understand how Wikipedia works and how to make edits. There is a lot of information there. Don't worry - you don't have to absorb it all at once. If you make mistakes here, other people will correct them. That's how Wikipedians learn from each other. Happy editing. Ground Zero | t 12:17, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
