Article deletion[edit]

Hi Alipayaa,

I saw your message on Ron Ritzman's talk page. I'm sorry you are frustrated with Wikipedia over the article about you being deleted. Wikipedia articles on living people are deleted if they do not have enough sources. This is required under the biographies of living persons policy: this is a protective measure to try and reduce the amount of times articles are used to attack people—we try (but don't always succeed) in having articles about living people as well sourced as possible on the basis that those articles could potentially cause people in the real world harm.

The article wasn't deleted because Wikipedia doesn't consider you a notable person or worthy of having an article, it was simply deleted because it lacks sources. If you can provide examples of sources for the article, it would be possible to find someone to recreate the article. If that happens, I'd have to ask you to not edit the article given our conflict of interest guidelines.

I hope that answers your questions. If you've got any more questions, I'm happy to answer them or you can ask Ron or any other admin or experienced user on the site. —Tom Morris (talk) 13:59, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
