Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, All.watson! I am Datheisen and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Student projects

[edit]

Regarding this edit, you may want to read Wikipedia:School and university projects. Also, you said "we." If this account is operated by more than one person you need to read Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts and probably Wikipedia:PRIVACY as well. The privacy page is even more important if anyone involved in the project is a minor. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 15:01, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nike iD & "Homework"?

[edit]

Hello! I greatly appreciate your leaving me a message about this. After much soul-searching, I'm trying to come up with a way to both save your hard work somehow and retain all possible integrity of the encyclopedia at the same time. Your boldness was quite refreshing, but it unfortunately means I have to treat it a bit differently. Another editor has put up a broader welcome to this all at User_talk:Grouphcis which goes over some of out one-person, one-account policies. Because of what that can mean, I did have to post your article as a discussion topic at an editor panel to look for some quick opinions on what we can do with this. Regardless of what that comes up with, in some way shape or form that article should be there to work on, so long as it's before the timer on the "PROD" (deletion banner). After then it would be open to deletion at any time without any further notice if it lacked necessary improvements. You have time to fix those problems then, at least. I'm not even sure if that would disqualify you from your project, but we'd rather try to keep articles alive here when possible.

I have no doubt in your good faith on this all, which is why I'm trying something this odd. Honestly, I'm not certain something quite like this has ever come up before. If you get messages here from other editors placed here, do try to reply best you can since more information might be needed. Good luck. daTheisen(talk) 15:06, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See below for Prodego's words of wisdom. Administrators are cool and can pull off stuff like that without even blinking. daTheisen(talk) 16:56, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Student projects redux

[edit]

Regarding your school project, if possible could you please provide an email address so that we could communicate with the instructor of your class? If we were able to do that, I think that we would hopefully be able to provide some assistance for your group, as well as ensuring topics are appropriate, and assisting on technical matters, if needed. If you do not have an email address you can provide me, please ask the instructor to email me at Prodego@gmail.com, and I'd be happy to work with him or her. Thanks!
