November 2014

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for CIR concerns and or trolling. I've noticed a lot of bizarre behavior. Today, you requested protection for the user pages of Dougweller and myself. My user page hasn't seen vandalism in over 7 months. You requested a bot account with admin and crat privleges (see talk archives [1]) and have asked to be a Teahouse host more than once. Your constant speaking about becoming an admin and bureaucrat (and other advanced bits) is beyond obsessive. I can't tell if you are trolling us, or if you just lack the competancy to edit here, but you are a drain on time and resources and these activities dominate your time here.. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Dennis - 02:09, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
  • There are other instances as well, such as butting in while I was in the middle of a delicate discussion with an IP editor who had been blocked multiple times for block evasion. In all honesty, I think it is trolling, as each time you are shot down or reverted, you don't have any questions and you don't say anything, which is what I would expect from a typical user. It is as if you already anticipated that would be the reaction. As always, I welcome any admin to review the entire history and decide for themselves if an unblock is requested. I'm happy to answer any questions, but I suggest reading the talk page archives here for a small taste. Dennis - 02:12, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

@DMacks and Dennis Brown: I don't want to waste other editors' time. My evidence is, when do I get unblocked to build an encyclopedia to accept this unblock request? And, I want to edit again that WP:CIR is often necessary for me to follow that. When I'm blocked, I don't want to sock-puppet another account which is what I hated. I must stop wasting other users' time and other admins too. I want to recognize this problem is.

So tomorrow, when I start fresh of I wish to build an encyclopedia, I don't have to be an admin or bureaucrat for the next time? I don't mean no disrespect to them, so please try to accept my unblock request tomorrow (not decline). I contribute to Wikipedia is I edit on articles contains a good source of it, and to be honest why it's unfair to be blocked. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:17, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

  • Allen, what is your primary language? Please don't over-think this question, it is as simple as it looks and a one or two word answer will suffice. :) Thanks. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 03:29, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
@Technical 13: My primary language is English, even that's simple to admins that respond. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:34, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
Allen, from your choice of article(s) to edit, and the level of your use of English, it is fairly obvious that you are a very young user. People of all ages are welcome to edit the encyclopedia but they must be able to comport themselves and make edits with the responsibility of an adult. Suggesting you have 'magic' is childish and does not convey the notion that you have reached sufficient maturity to be taking part in Wikipedia any time soon. Also, to join Wikipedia with the main intention of becoming an admin will surely negate any such hopes that you might have. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:38, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
@Kudpung: I understand, but I'm not a kid this time. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:49, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Kudpung never said you were a kid, just that you were young. I just realized that I haven't yet indicated that any comments by me here are simply my (Non-administrator comment)s and as such, convincing me that you are competent and HERE will not result in your being unblocked by me (I simply don't have that ability, and am not convinced yet regardless). Now that I've made that clear, I suggest you take some time off for Wikipedia. Surely there are better and more exciting things to do? Get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Play some MMORPG online (there are some nice F2P ones, I like Dungeons and Dragons Online myself). Find something to do. Wikipedia is not ready for you, and you are not currently ready for the English Wikipedia. Good luck in whatever you do decide to do! — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 04:11, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
@Technical 13: I get fresh air and more comfortable on YouTube, Google+ and Twitter. But why I'm not ready to edit at the English Wikipedia right now? (Redacted) Regardless of I'm retiring out of the English Wikipedia for my problems just left I don't get involved here, so my decision is to leave and delete all of my SUL global account from the Wikimedia projects.
And when I leave this site infinitely. The best thing for me to watch is My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, the show with the magic of friendship about ponies. And also I'm a largest fan of that and a brony. The game I played: Flight Simulator X is what I'm experiencing about flying airplanes. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 04:36, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
@Technical 13: Why for a few years I'll be unblocked on Wikipedia, but my block is not necessary here? I know English already and it's my first language and been native. So at this time, I watch My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic in the future right now. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 12:43, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
Allen, you've proven time and time again that you and Wikipedia are not right for each other right now. Some of the people involved here (me, for example) do believe that when you're a little bit older and wiser, you have the potential to be a fantastic editor. For now, however, you definitely do need some time away from Wikipedia, which is why you're blocked now, and why Technical 13 mentioned a couple of years from now. (Non-administrator comment)LucasThoms 12:52, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
I've seen a few people discuss Allen's age, but let me say, I am confident that age is not the issue here. Dennis - 15:51, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
Agreed, age not an issue. Sadly I also agree the block was necessary. Dougweller (talk) 19:00, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
@Dennis Brown and Dougweller: I edit on the English Wikipedia long enough, now regardless of my first block on Wikipedia is not supposed to be infinite or indefinite because what I've done here is not vandalizing and disrupting Wikipedia. Just let me edit my user namespace again so I don't have to cause a lot of trouble here. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 01:55, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Admins, don't take this offensive at all. If you want me to edit through the encyclopedia once again, I use good contributions here and make it a good way to edit some other film articles (etc., My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic). Otherwise, I will delete my global SUL account if you don't remove my block here in 1 year. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:50, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Notice

@Lucas Thoms and Technical 13: You know why I were blocked on the English Wikipedia infinitely? I'm still a great editor here that is helping the source on articles. But right now, why do I have to take time away from this site? But I have to be watching on YouTube and Dailymotion sites right now to watch on the show of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The other sites I was at DeviantArt and FIMFiction, I see My Little Pony fans there (etc.: dogman15, ImperfectXIII, Jonny Manz, shadowdemon137). Now Lucas and Technical 13, I email it to you both for private conversation and chit chat. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 01:55, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

  • I don't think that would be wise to email either one of us for "chit-chat". You are blocked because you have failed to demonstrate an ability to clearly communicate with your peers and a lack of ability to edit constructively in an encyclopedia setting. This is not a social site like DeviantArt or FaceBook, if that is what you are looking for, please feel free to contribute and "chit-chat" on those sites. This is an encyclopedia, not the place for those things. Anyways, I wish you well and hope to see you make another attempt in a few years when you can demonstrate a solid understanding of what is going on here. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 02:30, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
@Technical 13: I favored you a mail of your purpose. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:46, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Editing your talk page

Do not modify my text, contained within the block template. Those are my exact words, use precisely to explain to any reviewing administrator what the block is for. Editors are not allowed to change the meaning of another editor's text, and certainly not in this instance.

Do not remove previous unblock templates. While there is debate about the necessity of keeping them on the talk page, in this case they were a part of an editing session where you changed my words as well. Keeping the templates on your page is an act of honesty and makes it easier for any admin to review your unblock in the future.

If are misuse your talk page, access to it can and will be removed. Dennis - 01:38, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

@Dennis Brown: I have to keep it that way without removing your block template and admins' response to my unblock template. To keep it debate, I must know why I should be unblocked now and respond to it. Please, don't take this offensive at all. And why do I have to take time away from the English Wikipedia right now? Can you let me edit to my user page because needed to update mines. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 01:47, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
I'm a good editor here, but I hated to be blocked on this site. I will make another unblock request for admins later if you wish to approve that unblock then delete all of my block log entries from here. Can you be honest about what I edit to them is add a valid source there? --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 02:07, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Email response

@NQ: I have mail for you of your private response. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 00:44, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Block evasion

Allen, you have been told multiple times in the past that you cannot use your IP address to pretend to be someone else. This is especially true when you're blocked. Blocks apply to the person, not the account. Stop editing with your IP. You're not anonymous; that IP geolocates to Houston and its writing sounds exactly like yours...this is along with the fact that it most recently edited a page in your userspace.—LucasThoms 01:56, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

@Lucas Thoms: Lucas, your response with this message is about me not to violate this policy as sockpuppetry or this policy as block evasion that I don't want to use my IP address to edit across the encyclopedia? But I'm currently unable to edit my other user namespaces and some pages because I'm under my block on the English Wikipedia. Try to help me with all of it here, but I'm so sorry about that in the past!
What it's time for me to take time away from editing at the English Wikipedia right now? I will be going to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic websites that is probably good for me and feel more perfect, especially I'm on Twitter and Google+. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:11, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
  • This is simply out of hand. You shouldn't be doing anything on the English Wikipedia right now. Don't edit logged out, don't edit logged in (I know, you are blocked, and can only edit this talk page logged in. Don't.). At this point anything and everything you do is being added to a list of things against you and making it harder and harder to get yourself unblocked (which will likely take a couple years at least at this point)... Continued asking why and talking about your show you are watching is just disruptive. I'd really like to be able to help you, but you need to be willing to help yourself. This means, don't comment or post anything here. Don't even come on to read it (after this post obviously). Don't email me anymore, don't message me on my talk page on other Wikimedia sites. I don't want to see anything posted by you for at least a month to start. At that point, I will email you as clear of an explanation of why you are blocked and what you need to do to get unblocked (eventually). If you fail to be able to do this, I'm sure that it wouldn't be much for me to ask an administrator to revoke your talk page access (make it so you can't even post on this page) until some time has passed. Please, just stop editing and don't take it to that level. It will make it SO much more difficult for you in the future if you do. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 05:14, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Using another account

I want to use another account on Wikipedia, or I can't do that right now? --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 04:52, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

It is forbidden. You are not welcome to edit wikipedia at all--you yourself, not just this account. DMacks (talk) 08:26, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
You know that at least 6 months or a year before I can welcome to edit at the English Wikipedia again with my block removal request approved. I'm currently under a block for reckless lack of contributing, however I did not disrupt anything on Wikipedia. So I can't do anything to edit on this site right now. About my English, that is my first language and I'm native speaker of it (including Russian I say "Привет" instead). Despite about my age, I'm 14 years old now. I can't be using another account with a different username to evade my account current block, so no I can't. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 16:21, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
What will get your unblock request accepted isn't time, it is scope. Using an alt to file at ANI and chat up Jimmy might seem innocent to you, but it is also indistinguishable from trolling and socking since trollsocks do those exact same things all the time. Even if that isn't your intent, this is EXACTLY what many socktrolls do. An undeclared alt. can only be used for a very specific reasons (editing articles that you can't edit with your regular account due to privacy or safety reasons), and ANY use outside that reason is improper. Using it solely to opine at ANI and Jimbo's page is never an accepted reason, and waiting 6 months or 6 years won't change that. If your beef is with photos on Commons, you need to be addressing it there anyway (where you have already set up shop), not here. We have no control over Commons. We are extremely flexible with undeclared alternate account, but you have to work within the system, not make up your own rules. Dennis - 16:42, 9 November 2014 (UTC) Was the wrong account. Long day... Dennis - 17:36, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
I actually don't care about my block, but magic will help me retire out of this thing. So I get myself acts together in and go to Meta and Commons. I run-off to real-life Equestria this time and live with ponies. Take care of yourself on Wikipedia, not me! --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 17:14, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Allen, Allen, Allen... *sigh* When you did this self-reversion, I said to myself, "Yes, now he's starting to get it!" Now, I see this new section and you seem to have relapsed into making poor judgement calls. Like I've responded to you before, do not edit on the English Wikipedia at all. Don't edit to any Wikimedia site for at least a month, and don't email any other contributors during that time. I WILL EMAIL YOU when enough time has passed for you to start doing something, not on enwp, constructive to start building your ability to be constructive. Please, understand this, it is nothing personal for any of us against you. It is just that you need some time away to indicate that you can follow the guidelines in place (in this case, the guideline is that you can't edit because you previously made poor editing choices). Now, with all that said, I only want one more reply from you, and then no more edits until I contact you. Please answer the following question with a single yes or no and a signature ~~~~. Do you understand what I am telling you here?{{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 18:03, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
Last reply, Technical 13: I understand with your comment and what you telling me about, and yes, I won't be editing right now for a month. When 1 month passed I didn't edit for the full cycle, email me on December 9, 2014! You got me? I'm checking on my mail everyday. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 18:48, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Good effort conversation

I must apologize, but I don't know if you can convince that you understand my English was going to get me unblocked? I've also got a block for reckless lack of judge editing. I might contribute to English Wikipedia more often and start editing to the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic article again. Also I mentioned these users who come from MLP Wikia and edit more often: 343 TheGuiltyProphet, dogman15, ImperfectXIII, Foodbandlt, Jonny Manz, Rallinale, Reaper Eternal, and TyA. I will make another unblock request if k6, Lucas Thoms and Technical 13 agrees with this comment or not.

After you did removed my block, delete all of my block log entries from here then I'll be fine (I didn't like The Mol Man to look at my block log like that). I'll give you another award/barnstar if you make a good effort of unblocking me. Brohoof! --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 23:17, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

Trying to get your global account deleted so your block gets removed and you can recreate the account, doesn't sound like you're making a good faith argument for getting unblocked. Also, trying to bribe an admin with a barnstar? I'll give you points for creativity though. Kirin13 (talk) 23:50, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
  • I'm sorry Allen, 10 days without any posting is not a month. I can not support an unblock request by this user under any circumstances at this point and am starting to wonder if talk page revocation would be appropriate as there is a serious lack of a demonstration of competence. I'd think it would be appropriate for this user to go through BASC if they want to be unblocked. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 00:01, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
I cannot go along with this request either. Log entries are only hidden or suppressed with a good reason. Suppressing log entries to hide your mistakes is not a good reason. Besides, your comments here don't address the concerns and reasons for the block, which is what an unblock request is supposed to do. Lobbying to get your account unblocked by some sneaky tactic of deleting your SUL account and whatnot isn't an unblock request - it's an "I'm going to smartass my way around this block". See WP:GAB. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 03:26, 21 November 2014 (UTC)

Talk page access revoked

CIR concerns was noted in the block log as the primary reason for the block. I have left the talk page open until now to provide an avenue to communicate and disprove that initial finding but everything said since has only served to reinforce the original assessment. I agree with Technical 13 that the proper avenue for Allen 2 to seek an unblock would be either WP:UTRS or WP:BASC. You have every right to use those avenues to seek an unblock.

If I may set aside my admin bit for a second, and just talk to Allen, man to man, I would simply say this: Allen, you seem like a nice fellow, you truly do. If we met on the bus, I'm sure you would be a delight to talk to. I'm sure you would make a fine neighbor as well. But I have to be honest and say that I'm confident that editing at Wikipedia isn't the right hobby for you. I believe you don't mean to cause problems, but you are a bit disruptive here. I'm sure there is another website out there where you probably will fit right in, and have a good time, but I'm just as sure that if I unblocked you, it would become a series of problems and blocks here at Wikipedia, and that isn't fun for anyone. I appreciate and respect your desire to edit here, but I think you will be happier elsewhere. I'm sorry, but out of respect for you, I feel I need to be honest and tell you this instead of just avoiding the issue. Whatever you do, where you go, I hope you find peace, friend. Request reason:

After a year ago I was blocked for lack of competency, I just read and convince that WP:CIR is a good faith to me for competence on Wikipedia. I believe this block is no longer necessary anymore after a long period I did spend from editing on this site, and I believe Wikipedia is an encyclopedia site not a social networking site. So I'll let you consider unblocking me for another chance at this time as I'm ready to contribute once again on Wikipedia and improve the encyclopedia. Thank you, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 20:21, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Sorry, but phrases like "I just read and convince that WP:CIR is a good faith to me for competence on Wikipedia" does not convince me that you are competent in English, let alone editing Wikipedia. Have you tried your own language Wikipedia? Also it still appears from your answer below that you are merely here to try to get admin and oversight rights. Optimist on the run (talk) 15:22, 30 December 2015 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

A couple of questions: 1) what was that oversight JavaScript you were looking for? 2) вы прaвдa говoрите по-pyсски? Max Semenik (talk) 21:24, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
1) The oversight JavaScript for hiding contributions and log entries. 2) Да, я знаю, по-русски. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 22:21, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
@Optimist on the run: I don't try to get admin rights, well I want to get oversight rights because I want to hide my edits and logs. I tried another Wikipedia site such as simple however not another language Wikipedia sites. Also I know about English and with Russian (just a little bit) however not Vietnamese. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 15:59, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
All oversighters must first be administrators. Given your present and past behaviour, there is very little chance that you will become an admin, so there is no way that you will ever become an oversighter.
You seem to misunderstand the purpose of oversight - Wikipedia:Oversight#Policy gives details of a very specific set of circumstances when oversight may be used, and hiding your own edits and logs is not among them. If an oversighter were to use the oversight right for any purpose which is not permitted in that section, they would very soon lose the oversight right for misuse. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:55, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
@Redrose64: You said that I have less chance to get admin and oversight rights on this site. Among that I keep my own log entries which includes the revision that I was attacked or I did wrong the page, you admins and I don't have to look at them as that may confuse them. You're right about that oversight policy, so I just looked at it and when using oversight is used only permitted in approved cases in that section. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 01:03, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:

I can confirm that this block is no longer necessary anymore after I followed this I did spend 6 months from editing at this site well 12 months of course. My and their edit revisions and my log entries, I decided to keep them there however not going to hide/remove them, even that I said I don't have to be an admin nor an oversighter here. So I believe that I'll contribute to Wikipedia again and improve the encyclopedia when you give me another chance of unblocking me at this time. Also, I want to be unblocked within this year too. Thanks, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 17:10, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I have read through this entire page. Twice. you claim repeatedly that English is your first language; I have no data except your statement, so must accept it as true. But your continual errors in usage and syntax, which have persisted for the duration of this thread, certainly show a lack of competence in the usage of your claimed native tongue. Whether this incompetence is of itself enough to keep you blocked may be seen as arguable, but in my view your apparent obsession with "magic", which is a null concept in Wikipedia, your obvious obsession with My Little Pony, which is irrelevant to Wikipedia (other than via the article already extant), your inability to understand the functions of admins and oversighters, both of which are clearly described in the relevant pages, and your self-admitted lack of comprehension as to what a block here actually means, render you in my opinion unsafe to unblock. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:15, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Anthony Bradbury: Yeah, I know you've read the whole thing on this page. I said that my first language is English, so I know English words. My obsession with "magic" is I make it a clear way to review anything new, and with my other obsession is My Little Pony which is my favorite TV show I've watched since 2012, well on Wikipedia I edit this article to contain a source and reference with the show does. I know about the functions of admins and oversighters does, well I don't need these rights on Wikipedia right now as I don't have to hide/RevDel my and their edits and log entries at this time.
It's too late for me to be unblocked on Wikipedia in the year 2015, so I'll do it in 2016 instead. So why do you think you didn't unblock me this time? As I want to be unblocked to expand the article and improve the encyclopedia! --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:16, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
2016 just began already, so I will not do anything bad as this year will be great and the luckiest for me and everyone else. I believe it's fair for me to be unblocked at this time because I'm ready to edit/contribute on the English Wikipedia again to expand the source of the article, build and improve the encyclopedia. Trust me that I want to be unblocked. Just keep me unblocked here as I said, and well sometimes you'll be able to help me on Wikipedia not to make me feel bad. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 21:46, 3 January 2016 (UTC)

Admin reminder 1/7/2016

It's unfair for me to be blocked on Wikipedia. Well admins can you please trust and believe me that I want to be unblocked at this time? I'm going to make another unblock request however I want it accepted. After I'm successfully unblocked, then I'll re-create my user page and my short sandbox, well sometimes I'm here on Wikipedia to help and improve on the encyclopedia. I said this before, I didn't need admin and oversight rights on Wikipedia at this time until I wish to in the future within a couple of years or so, also as I'm worried about my revision history I don't need to hide/RevDel them as I don't want to talk about it in the past and you too. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:30, 7 January 2016 (UTC)

How is your desire to be unblocked is a reason for us to do so? Allen, you have very serious problems with comprehending the very basics of Wikipedia, what is expected of editors here and why you're blocked. To prevent you from hitting a wall over and over again, I've protected this page for 1 year. After that, you will have another opportunity to request an unblock and I hope that you will mature by then, becoming a productive editor. But until then, no more unblock requests. Request reason:

I'm sorry why I'm blocked on Wikipedia in the first place because of my poor competence (and my lack of ability to edit in an encyclopedia setting). So "I know what Wikipedia is!" (after my break): Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not the place for other things. I have to say this that English is my first language, Vietnamese is my second language, and Russian is my third language. I tried the Simple English Wikipedia and corrected my grammar in a coherent way when I come back the latest. I'm sorry that my English was nonsensical when I contribute here in a few years ago. I must say this: I don't need to have oversight and admin rights on Wikipedia because I choose not to have those rights, I do is I'm a regular user (with autoconfirmed and extendedconfirmed status).
So can you unblock me, please? Because the good reason I 'want' to be unblocked is I'm 'ready' to come back on an occasional basis and I want to delete my own pages (except my talk page (this page)) that I no longer need. I 'promise' you after I'm unblocked, then I will delete my own pages that I no longer need and contribute on an occasional basis (not actively, but regularly).
--Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:26, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Declining per continued competency concerns. If you'd like me to post an appeal to a wider community venue (WP:AN), I will, but I'm not comfortable unblocking with such recent edits on the simple wiki demonstrating poor English being introduced into the mainspace. ~ Rob13Talk 20:29, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have read through this whole thread (again), and have looked back to the earliest pages you have edited. On earlier drafts of your userpage I note that you claim to speak fourteen languages and to have served as an admiral in the forces of the United States. do you wish to modify these claims? I see that you were born in the USA to a Vietnamese family; notwithstanding your US nationality, and your claim that English is your first language, it is abundantly clear that it is not. Your improvement in English usage is visible over the past two years of editing here; it is not yet perfect. You say in your most recent request that you wish to be unblocked primarily so that you can delete your own pages that you no longer need. You appear, however, to have only this page and your userpage, and you stipulate that your request excludes this page; so which pages do you intend to delete? Bear in mind that you are not allowed to delete pages in article-space, whether you have contributed to them or not. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 12:07, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
I echo Anthony Bradbury's note. English is very clearly not your native language, not if you speak fourteen languages. It's very clear you've deliberately attempted to mislead us, and this is counting against you when we consider unblocking you. It's time to come clean if you wish to have a hope of being unblocked. --Yamla (talk) 12:33, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Allen2, if you identify specifically which user pages you want deleted (with the exception of this talk page), I'll be happy to consider deleting them for you - you do not need to be unblocked first. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:00, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
@Anthony.bradbury: I wish to modify my claims that English, Vietnamese, and Russian are my 3 (major) languages, the other (fourteen) languages, I used to speak those languages a little bit with a translator. I'm not served as an admiral in the (armed) forces of the United States yet. My nationality is Asian-American (instead of saying I'm Vietnamese-American, but not the US nationality) because I born in America/USA in the family from Asia, Vietnam is where they're from. My pages I intend to delete is you can see this box and my comment below.
@Yamla: See what I said above in the first paragraph on my reply, if English isn't my native language then I modified my user page says that I'm at level 5 (professional level) in English instead. Your comment on your last paragraph is what I'm talking about.
@Boing! said Zebedee: Here are my pages I want to delete in my own user namespace (if you're an admin then I consider you can delete them for me), but after I'm unblocked then I can do it myself with a delete template on these pages:
Thank you, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 15:25, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
It is not the case that you have level 5 proficiency in English. See this article on user language. You appear to be at a level 3, though I'm not mandating that you change it. Thank you for correcting your earlier claim that English was your native language. --Yamla (talk) 13:22, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
But English is not my native language (yet) after I modified my earlier claim. You said that I appear to be at level 3, I know all the English words and with grammar in sensible and coherent way, so my proficiency is I'm at level 5 (professional level) proficient in English. Also, I moved your reply to the bottom of my reply above, because you replied is in the middle of my comment (that's because I have a box template that I have my own pages I want to delete (you replied above the template and the signature of my comment), they deleted them for me already and I covered the box template after). --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:02, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

I'm waiting to hear a word from an admin to review this request and then unblock me. Oh, and one more thing, can you delete my talk page editnotice page for me (however after I'm unblocked then I'll do it myself with a delete template there)? Because I don't need that editnotice page in this page until I re-create that page without that blue box and with my improved English. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 01:51, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

I have deleted the editnotice per WP:CSD#U1; but I'm not going to unblock you. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 09:53, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for deleting it. But why didn't you unblock me at this time? I said "I'm sorry (for why I'm blocked)". --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:02, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
I don't have to give a reason for not unblocking you. Instead, you have to give us a good reason why we should unblock you. Without that, it's not going to be done. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:16, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
(edit conflict) The good reason I want to be unblocked is I will contribute on a regular basis when I'm unblocked. (My grammar seems to be correct now.) --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 22:54, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Allen, what specific contributions would you like to make? Please provide an example of an article you'd like to work on and one substantial edit you'd like to make to it. You don't have to show the actual edit, but you should provide a very clear idea of what you'll add/change in the article. ~ Rob13Talk 17:03, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: I like to make specific contributions (and a substantial edit to the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic article). My very clear idea is I want to make a change to the article with grammar fixes (and with additional details (including some provided references about the information with the "news")). --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:02, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Hi, you say "I know all the English words and with grammar in sensible and coherent way", but that alone is grammatically incorrect. In fact, you constantly make grammar errors in your writing. I am a native English speaker and I use English professionally, so please believe me that your English is not close to level 5. I'd say that you're around level 2 to 3 - you can use English effectively, but you make frequent mistakes. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:48, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
@Boing! said Zebedee: If my English is not close to at level 5 (professional level) yet, then I modified my user page and you look at it (again) and see. I believe (in) you, so I would say that I'm at level 3 (advanced level) in English with some minor grammar errors. And, why you say that "you make frequent mistakes"? (I correct(ed) my grammar to see if it 'does' makes sense without having any errors.) --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 15:02, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
OK, I'll give you a 3 ;-) Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:50, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

I was looking over the requests for unblock, and I recognized this one—I vaguely remember hearing about this case a couple of years ago. I see that there has been much back-and-forth over Allen's ability to effectively communicate and edit, but that really won't get us anywhere. Why not use the second chance procedure and let Allen show us if he can contribute productively? Biblio (talk) 23:51, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

I'm leaning toward declining this. Biblioworm's suggestion is a good one, but I think we have to take into account what evidence we have here of ability to contribute productively. Allen states he wants to make edits to My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. This is a topic he edited two weeks ago on the Simple English Wikipedia. See here. The English is broken and would require clean-up by another editor. Poor English isn't itself a barrier to editing productively on Wikipedia, but failing to recognize when your English is poor probably is. I'd like to hear the thoughts of other administrators who've commented here on that diff. ~ Rob13Talk 06:47, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
@Biblioworm, @BU Rob13: Sorry I took too long to respond, so why did you declined my unblock request? This request seems to be "valid" (with a good reason (I've provided you)). I said "I'm sorry for why I'm blocked for (competency concerns)"!
Anyway, I would like you to post an appeal to WP:AN before I appeal again. If you can look at my user page again at the Simple English Wikipedia, I modified it with my grammar corrections (my poor English (and grammar) is rephrased in a coherent way when I came back). So all I do is I'm (still) "ready" to come back to Wikipedia and contribute (productively) on an "occasional" basis and let me edit my own userspace. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 02:47, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
Please provide a statement of whatever you'd like me to post at WP:AN for you. ~ Rob13Talk 02:55, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: The statement (and evidence) about I "wish" to be unblocked on Wikipedia with "another chance". My past contributions here was my lack of ability (and competency) to edit in an encyclopedia setting, so I'll "try" to read this that competence is a "necessary" thing. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:18, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
Is the above couple sentences all you want me to post? You should probably more-or-less provide something similar to a block appeal at the moment. ~ Rob13Talk 03:42, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: Yeah. It's about this unblock request/block appeal in this section. I said that I "wish" to be unblocked on Wikipedia with "another chance". --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 04:08, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: That's my few of my sentences I want you to post, I provide a good reason (for you) that is a statement and an evidence about after I'm unblocked then I can modify my own pages (and state my substantial edit to the encyclopedic article), I "shall" be competent about what the encyclopedia is, not a social network nor a social media site. I'm "willing" to contribute productively with my improved grammar. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 02:45, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
I'll start a section of AN in a couple of days when I have a moment. If I haven't done it by Wednesday night, prod me. ~ Rob13Talk 05:04, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: That's nice to hear that. Now can you submit it to WP:AN (at this time when you have a moment)? (I'm "still" ready to come back and contribute on an occasional basis.) I don't have to prod you. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 07:29, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: Before I make another unblock request (but I'm afraid that my unblock request will be declined again), can you try to submit it to WP:AN about this section (my unblock (and block appeal) request), please (when you have a moment)? I "wish" to be unblocked, so I can modify my own pages and contribute with a substantial edit to the encyclopedic article. Thank you, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 15:35, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
After re-reading this section, I have to withdraw my offer. I think administrators can adequately process these unblock requests, and if this were posed to the community, I suspect it would be a SNOW outcome. This isn't exactly a standard offer, so community input isn't required. ~ Rob13Talk 17:28, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
So you regret (and hesitate) that you don't want to post it to WP:AN, then I'll make another unblock request in a couple of days or weeks when I have a moment. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 07:08, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

Request reason:

The good reason I want to be unblocked is: I "want" to modify my own pages (and contribute occasionally with a substantial edit to the encyclopedic article or page I want to edit). I'm "sorry" about why I'm blocked on Wikipedia in the first place because of my lack of competence, so I'll "try" to be competent about what Wikipedia is: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not the place for other things such as this is a social network. Also, you "have to" be comfortable of unblocking me when I'm ready to come back with an opportunity of having "another chance" to edit and contribute often. So can you unblock me, please? I "promise" you this that I "wish" to be unblocked (by giving me "another chance") as I said above on this appeal text, so I can modify my own pages (I "can't" edit my own pages while I'm blocked). Because (I would think that) I'm "ready" to edit and contribute (productively) onto this site again after my break. And also, with my English and grammar, it is yet to be 100% proficient by fixing some of my minor errors in my grammar.
Thank you, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:11, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I have the same concerns about competency as BU Rob13 from the last decline. ♠PMC(talk) 17:58, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

    • I'm no longer an administrator, but as a concerned community member, I must ask: what's with the quotation marks around certain words? Quotation marks for emphasis in almost every sentence on the verb typically reads as sarcasm, but perhaps that is not your intent. ~ Rob13Talk 11:13, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
If you're no longer an administrator, then I'll have another administrator on this wiki to "tell the truth" about this one, I can still say you're a "former admin" and a "former administrator" though. The quotation marks in my certain words are contained with a noun (chance, truth, admin, administrator), a verb (want, try, have, promise, wish, stop, focus, tell), and an adjective (sorry, ready). I have parenthesis that are my "optional words and sentences" and my "optional reasons".
--Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 19:19, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
@BU Rob13: Sarcasm is very much a Western thing and most Asian cultures just do not use it - and Allen2 has told us he is Vietnamese-American. I'm quite sure he's not trying to be sarcastic and that it's just some non-standard form of emphasis. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 01:12, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
(edit conflict) @Premeditated Chaos: Why would you decline my unblock request again? I don't have to wait (much) longer to appeal again. I said "I'm sorry about why I'm blocked on Wikipedia in the first place"! I 'still' want to be unblocked and intend to modify my own pages on this wiki! I will be 'pleased' to do that. I will 'try' to be competent about what this site is, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that is used for more information from the article pages. I can try testing the encyclopedic articles on my sandbox page too.
@Boing! said Zebedee: I'm not trying to be sarcastic, so I did tell you (and the admins) the truth that I am Vietnamese-American that is also an Asian-American too (I preferred to be called as "Asian-American").
--Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 01:55, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

As recently as December 2016 Allen2 tried to get their username changed to "Allen-alt3", which was declined. Their rationale was Why? I want to try that alternative name. which gives me reason to believe that, even after all these months (I still remember being pinged about this in 2014) Allen2 still has some competency issues. Also, talking to yourself on your Meta talk page is a bit... strange. Your user talk page is not your Twitter account. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:48, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

I'm not trying to rename my account as "Allen2" would be a better name for now, the username "Allen-alt3" can be confusing and I would think that username is likely to be a sockpuppet account. (It would be up to me if I'm willing to rename my account again.) Though, I'm not talking to myself on my talk page on Meta (as that is not my Twitter account), I'm asking them (the stewards) over there about my languages (and with my English).
So I'll tell you the truth and the statement that I (still) have competency issues, I'll try to resolve my competency issues when I come back the later time to appeal again. So the good reason you "should" unblock me is: I intend to modify my own pages after I'm unblocked and will try to be competent about what this website (Wikipedia) is. This will be posted on my new unblock request at the later time when I have a moment. I can't wait to be unblocked! So I need more chances to get unblocked here is by telling me what do you like me to do before I appeal again? You want me to wait for a longer period before I can appeal again? It's up to you (your choice).
--Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 03:17, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
This has become an issue. I will stop that behavior right now (like the last time I contribute to Wikipedia in 2014, I have competency issues). Thinking that I will resolve/fix my competency issues when I come back the later time (like in a few weeks or months later), I will seek another unblock request by that time. I will let another administrator on this wiki to discuss with me and other administrators about this with the issue. And for those who try to help me on this wiki are able to discuss with me about this with the issue.
--Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 05:39, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Situation

I made contributions onto the Simple English Wikipedia with a few article edits there (see my latest contributions), so maybe I have an "option" to state my edits to the encyclopedic articles here on this wiki after I'm unblocked which means that may resolve my competency issues and problems here.
So administrators, it's me Allen again, I have something to say to you about this situation. How do I fix this situation here about my competency issues and problems here? Because the fact that I don't have to wait to be unblocked. I'm willing to make productive contributions instead (as convinced) and be here to build an encyclopedia and focus on encyclopedic articles. I'm sorry for using Wikipedia as a social networking site, so I believe this is not a social networking site.

  • I have closed your unblock appeal as the clear view of the Community is that you should not be unblocked. You should read the comments carefully and reflect upon them. You may ask at UTRS for a further Community discussion but such a request would only be considered after at least a further 6 months from now. In that time you should take steps to address your competency issues and draw up a clear editing plan. Unless you can demonstrate that you have done both these things then there would be no point in putting your case to the Community again. Just Chilling (talk) 03:09, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

  • Administrator, can you make another unblock request at WP:AN, please? Because I reflect from this and any Wikimedia project for 6 months already as part of the standard offer, and I understand why I'm blocked in the first place is by not conforming the rules of Wikipedia and my lack of ability to communicate clearly and edit constructively on the encyclopedia setting. Let the community know that I will obey those rules when I'm going to be unblocked, and demonstrate that I will be here to build an encyclopedia by making a few edits on the Simple English Wikipedia after a 6-month period. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 06:23, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
@Just Chilling: can you do it for me, please? Also, read this comment first then post my unblock request at WP:AN as a standard offer appeal to show the community that I am ready or not. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 15:18, 19 May 2018 (UTC)
There is no point in posting another AN request at present because it would be rejected again. In order to be able to make an unblock request with some hope of success you need to:
a) Demonstrate your competency in English. One way of doing this would be to make a number of substantial contributions to the Simple English wp before your next request.
b) Produce an editing plan you would follow if you were unblocked.
