User talk:Allen32130
Hello. I am excited about establishing an account with Wikipedia! This site has certainly gotten a great deal of media attention over the last few years, particularly in respect to its reliability and legitimacy. In view of this, I am very interested in exploring the site to verify its basic substance. I have frequently referenced Wikipedia for both professional and personal purposes, and have found it to be very useful for the most part, and I have not had any trouble with the content that I have come to rely upon so far. There have however been many news articles questioning the reliability of the information here, due to the fact that anyone who can create an account is welcome to edit pages in Wikipedia at will. I certainly welcome any discussion on this topic.
Welcome!

That noticeboard is for a very specific purpose- reporting users who participate in edit-wars. It isn't a general complaints board, and it's disruptive to the work they're doing at that board to put complaints there. If you have a suggestion for making the encyclopedia better, the Village Pump is a better place to put them. You should know, though, that Wikipedia is not censored, so suggestions that we remove all content that wouldn't be appropriate for children won't be likely to get far. If you want to start your own wiki, one with only child-appropriate content, you could consider setting up your own Kid's Wiki, or search to see if someone else has already done so and help make it better. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:04, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
