Well you made a mistake here, so I have corrected it. Thanks for the message. Almond Plate (talk) 14:02, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

perhaps you know...

[edit]

that just placing the ampersand (@) in front of a person's name does not actually "ping" them or notify them that you've used their name or responded to a post of theirs. To do that you have to use the ping function ({{ping}}) by actually putting curly braces {} around the word and a pipe | then their name: - for example: {{ping|Ched}} If you do that, then they'll receive a notification (I'll ping you from my page shortly). If you already know all this, I apologize, but I see that you've not been on here a lot (298 edits), and I'm just offering a note. — Ched (talk) 01:06, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ched: Thanks for the note. I was aware of this (I've been active on another wiki project, not related to Wikipedia), but didn't want to create too many pings. As it turned out, the edit summary sufficed. Almond Plate (talk) 12:43, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
