Welcome

[edit]

Hi Almondzz, welcome to Wikipedia! If you're looking to create an article on Wikipedia, you might want to check out the Wikipedia:Article wizard, which will generate a draft article you can edit, and once you're happy with it, you can click another button to submit it. Make sure to read the instructions there very closely. There's a more detailed guide on how to create a new article at Help:Your first article, but basically, you'd want to find a topic where there is no existing article, but you've found independent, reliable sources that have written about it. This can be a news article from a highly regarded source like the New York Times, or an academic paper, or maybe a book if it's by a well regarded author. However, please note that we cannot usually use content from press releases or direct quotes in interviews to meet Notability guidelines, as those are not considered independent. Make sure your sources meet all the criteria: Three good sources is better than four that barely scrape through.

You can also request someone else create an article on a topic, see Requested articles for some information about that process (though it may take quite some time for the topic to be picked up). If you are stuck, feel free to ask me directly, or if I seem to be offline, come to the Teahouse, and other experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Please also consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, you can ask via the Mentorship module or on my talk page. You can also type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! Alpha3031 (tc) 13:15, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
