Leonardo da Vinci

[edit]

Please don't add LGBT categories to Leonardo da Vinci articles. The encyclopedia cannot identify a person as Lesbian, Gay, Bi- or Trans- unless it is known that they were. Although it has long been theorised that Leonardo was homosexual, it is not a known fact and his writings, which are extensive, give no indication.

Hi there, do you have any sources that show this scientist is LGBT? I have not been able to verify that data online. Bearian (talk) 18:15, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bearian -- Rather prominently: http://www.noglstp.org/?page_id=10 In 2012, Dr. Martin Lo was recognized by the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals as the "NOGLSTP Scientist of the Year." These awards are only given to prominent "out" LGBT scientists and engineers, and Dr. Lo accepted the award in person at the 2012 Out to Innovate summit.
