Notability of Indi Fisher[edit]

A tag has been placed on Indi Fisher requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Endless Dan 13:38, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tagged for references when they're there?[edit]

Hello. You've just tagged Nikolai Evreinov for references. Why? The Cambridge Guide article is listed there. DionysosProteus 01:47, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's not quite right. A bibliography is a broader term than works cited, often separated into primary and secondary sources. Most scholarly works give the list of books to which they've referred as a bibliography. DionysosProteus 02:07, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Typos[edit]

Thanks for the corrections :) guess I can't spell received.

I always have the same problem, but you have to remember the old school rhyme:

Ethiopian names[edit]

Hi, I see this edit of yours. It was correct the other way around; Ethiopians are referred to by their first names as Westerners do with last names, as stated by the third paragraph of this. So, Aberra Molla is correctly Dr. Aberra, and he is sorted with his first name first. Picaroon (t) 17:19, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

defaultsort[edit]

Hi! I saw, that you have added "defaultsort" to Bernard Ormanowski. Please allow me to tell you, that this is unnecessary when the Template:BD is used. Thank you and :) Doma-w 00:55, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Watershed references[edit]

Thank you for your prompt edit of the article on Watershed, I created the article about three minutes ago; it exists as little more than a stub with a track list and infobox at this stage. At this point, as far as I can see, there is precious little information that requires citation of sources. Grimhim 02:03, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You![edit]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Sunnshine, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Nancy Baym[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nancy Baym, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? KenWalker | Talk 05:27, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
