Capitalization
[edit]When writing on Wikipedia, even in the infoboxes, it's important to remember basic capitalization rules. The first word of a sentence or phrase is capitalized and after that generally only proper nouns. For your edits to Valentin Cassadine at the List of miscellaneous General Hospital characters, you made this edit: "first = Has Not Yet Appeared". "Has" is the only word that should be capitalized, because "not yet appeared" contains no proper nouns. AniMate 00:54, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Sam McCall has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Hi, I realize you're new and all, and I don't want to be mean/sound threatening, but are you aware of the three revert rule? PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 21:20, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Soapcentral.com
[edit]Unfortunately, the consensus among editors here has been that soapcentral.com is not a reliable website for characters only for industry news. By industry news, I mean information about hiring and firing and show cancellations. When it comes to character profiles and daily recaps, those are generally written by fans with no professional expertise. Also, it is important to note that birth years in regards to soap opera characters are almost never relevant. If we put Sam's birth year as 1980 that makes her 30 years old. Her younger sister Kristina is currently 16 years old. That would mean Sam was 14 or 15 when Kristina was born, though on screen Sam was already an adult well over 20 when she came to town. Birth years are confusing and trivial. Finally, look at Template:Infobox_soap_character. The "born" field is no longer there because with soap opera rapid aging birthdays are all but meaningless, and birthdays no longer show up when someone reads an infobox. Technically, you could put Sam was born on October 1, 1492, and the only time anyone would see it would be when they edited the infobox. AniMate 23:00, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
This discussion is being had on the talk page, as seen in the above link. You are welcome to join in. However...no matter whether first or second, Riegel's picture should be in the infobox. Flyer22 (talk) 18:16, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:AprilKepnerpicture.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:AprilKepnerpicture.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:06, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:AprilKepnerpicture.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:AprilKepnerpicture.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:35, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Greys-Anatomy-Season-7-Promo-9.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Greys-Anatomy-Season-7-Promo-9.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Armbrust Talk Contribs 03:57, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Dr._Meredith_Grey.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Dr._Meredith_Grey.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:47, 5 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 13:47, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
