News and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2019).

Arbitration

  • The fourth case on Palestine-Israel articles was closed. The case consolidated all previous remedies under one heading, which should make them easier to understand, apply, and enforce. In particular, the distinction between "primary articles" and "related content" has been clarified, with the former being the entire set of articles whose topic relates to the Arab-Israeli conflict, broadly interpreted rather than reasonably construed.
  • Following the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been appointed to the Arbitration Committee: Beeblebrox, Bradv, Casliber, David Fuchs, DGG, KrakatoaKatie, Maxim, Newyorkbrad, SoWhy, Worm That Turned, Xeno.

Request for new page creation

Hi User:Amortias,

I would like to request you for an article that is restricted by an admin. I tried to contact the protecting admin but with no response. Hence, I am writing to you on behalf of a well-known legal-tech company Knovos to create its page on Wikipedia. You can do a quick search and would find it is a notable company with various third-party articles about it even on top sites including bloomberg and financial times.

I have drafted a short article for the same with abundant references and adhering to Wikipedia guidelines. I can send that across to you for a quick review if required.

Request you to kindly guide me further.

(talk page watcher) @Hardeep.pathak: Amortias is not a very active administrator, having made only two edits since September 2018, so you are unlikely to receive a timely response. I suggest you contact the protecting admin, Jimfbleak, again if you have actually followed his advice on your talk page and re-written the draft in a non-promotional tone.-- P-K3 (talk) 14:41, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
