Administrator User:331dot opinion on this subject:

There are some users who might find using Jesus(the religious figure) as a username offensive. I would advise to you choose a username that does not cause you grief. 331dot (talk) 11:30, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator User talk:Jimfbleak opinion on this subject:

The policy is clear; religious names may offend people and therefore aren't acceptable, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:09, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator User:PhilKnight opinion on this subject:

The username was blocked for having a religious name in his username. PhilKnight (talk) 19:11, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My question is, is it against user name policy? If not, I want to change my user name to “Jesus my god”

Wikipedia:Username policy doesn't prohibit usernames referencing religion as such, though it does say that "[u]sernames that are likely to offend other contributors" aren't allowed, basically giving admins a go-ahead to block for usernames as they see fit. Quite disturbing, considering how trigger-happy some of them can be. At any rate, username change requests are typically processed at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple but I would advise against filing one in your case as per WP:POINT. 78.28.44.223 (talk) 03:38, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
