Hello, I've completed a peer review for you that you can find here: User:Andreanicolecruz/The Giver/Neutralplaid Peer Review Neutralplaid (talk) 01:41, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Andrea!

(If you don't have time to read through my comments right now, you can consider this your green light to start moving your work to the live Wikipedia article! See the link below for detailed instructions on how to do so.)

I can see that you've made some revisions since the peer reviews you received, glad to see it! I think the feedback they both provided was mostly helpful... I know one of them noted that you focused mostly on the "Literary significance and criticism" section, but I remember you already told me that Prof. H approved you focusing exclusively on that section as long as you found enough quality sources (and you did! nice work), so no worries there.

I'd say just get your formatting down pat, maybe adjust some word choices here or there to make it read a little smoother, and things should be more than fine!

For example, your first sentence: "The Giver is classified as a part of Dystopian literature which has left many readers forming mixed reviews on the proper classification of Lowry's novel"

I might rewrite it to something like: "The Giver is classified as dystopian literature, though many readers are left with mixed feelings on the proper classification of Lowry's novel"

I believe my version of the sentence is still conveying your same message, just a little bit clearer, I think? Feel free to let me know if you want any more feedback on specific sentences!

One other thing, with Wikipedia, you can always feel free to go a little crazy with the in-text citations... like in the 2nd and 3rd sentences of your 2nd paragraph, you could probably add a citation right there, since it is a direct quote from Lowry (even though you already have multiple citations for that paragraph, Wikipedia likes to see every "claim" cited directly, if that makes sense!). Altogether I think it's looking great though.

By the way, I really liked that you both added whole paragraphs and improved existing paragraphs. Those are two different types of revisions, and you showed your writing and editing skills by engaging with both types of revisions!

After double checking for formatting, grammar, and style, you can begin publishing live on Wikipedia. (See our dashboard module "Moving work out of the sandbox")
