License tagging for Image:Joseph Crossley's Almshouses.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Joseph Crossley's Almshouses.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:08, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Concert pose.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Concert pose.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 17:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Hi!, You may have noticed that I removed the images of the Halifax Joint Committee bus and the also the one of the Wainhouse tower. I did this as they do not really do anything for the article and are already displayed in their respective articles, which you also wrote and wikilinked to(it makes a change to see an image of the tower from a different perspective, well done). Also please note that unless you put in the copyright details to the Almshouse image, along with others as advised above, then that will also end up getting deleted from wikipedia by an administrator. I have done a small copy edit to the Wainhouse Tower article to stop it reading word for word like the website that the information was obtained from. I have converted some of the wikilinks into url links, its not worth putting square brackets to wikilink names of people who are not sufficiently notable to have their own article ever created. With the Joint Halifax committee article it currently needs a bit of a clean up, as noted by Wikipedia Bureaucrat User:Warofdreams, especially from after the mention of London Buses :). Finally the image you have uploaded titled:- Image:Scanned 001.jpg, you have it down as your copyright, yet it says it is the logo of the Halifax G&S Society, If this actual logo was created by you for use by them, then you need to state that on the image information page. If however it is a scanned image of their Logo then it is a copyright infringement, as a derivative work, and cannnot be used on wikipedia, In which case you need to mark the page up with {{speedydelete}} and {{db-imgcopyvio}} tags to have it removed ASAP!.
