Why this page

I think Wikipedia could benefit from an article on rolling timeline.

My interest in this comes from comparing the styles of Carl Barks and Don Rosa. But I have only just discovered a term related to it. I'm sure there are others.

In Barks, the fictional universe for each Donald Duck story arc is rebooted. Rosa is the opposite. Rosa even constructed a timeline for the Donald Duck universe. But this required retcons to some of Barks' stories, because Barks did not have such a timeline.

I am sure that this is explored somewhere in the literature. Until such sources are found of course we cannot have an article. This user and user talk page is to investigate the topic in the meantime. Andrewa (talk) 16:01, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
