I don’t want to sound cheeky

Hello, I respect what you said in the 2018 episodes about TJ, but he is listed as regular in your draft for the 2014 episodes. I refer to this draft and he is listed as a regular in the credits from an episode from September 2014 here [1]. I hope you don’t mind me querying. Also I hope you aren’t offended by my query.82.132.240.248 (talk) 17:34, 22 January 2018 (UTC)

Not offended at all. If TJ was definitely a regular that's fine, but I didn't think he was and I didn't think we listed him as one at the time. I didn't write the 2014 cast list in my draft. Just a short reply for now as I need to sleep. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 04:46, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Hey! I saw that you edited the article Black Mirror and thought maybe you would be interested in this new user category I created?-🐦Do☭torWho42 () 05:47, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Thanks, however, my single edit in 2012 was routine cleanup (updating BARB when that website changed and created hundreds or thousands of dead links across Wikipedia) and I've never heard of Black Mirror! — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 09:47, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Question about other relatives parameter

Hope you don't mind me asking, but is their a specific order other relatives are listed? Is at as they meet, paternal then maternal relatives, age order? Grangehilllover (talk) 17:31, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

@Grangehilllover: There isn't a specific order. I suppose we tend to add new additions to the end of a list as relatives become relevant, and then sometimes people come along and re-order them, like if two siblings are relevant to a distant relative at different times it might make more sense to list them together. The other relatives could be grouped in the order of paternal then maternal or the other way around depending on which is most relevant/notable. Is there any particular reason for asking? — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 17:42, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: I was just looking around a few pages like the Beales, Fowlers and Jacksons characters and wondering if there's a way they are listed. Thanks. Grangehilllover (talk) 17:55, 17 February 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: Fair enough, I suppose as long as they're not too mixed up, the general order doesn't matter that much. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 17:58, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Moon family, from its old location at User:AnemoneProjectors/Moon family. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 16:30, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Moon family looks to have merit but appears abandoned - what are your plans for it? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 16:33, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

My plans for it are to move it back to my userspace where all my drafts are kept and work on it when I have time with the support of other users who should be aware of it, as is the plan for all my many drafts. Thanks. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 17:25, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
Apologies if that came across a bit rude, I just have always used my userspace for my drafts since before the draftspace existed and prefer to keep them that way. I know draftspace is generally preferred but userspace is still ok, and I'm sure if I used the draftspace I'd more quickly forget about my drafts (I often look at pages with my username as a prefix to remind me of my drafts). Hope this is ok. I have a lot and can't work on them all all the time, especially since I got so busy with work, so although many of them look abandoned, I will deal with them eventually, I promise! Cool to see another anagram user :-) — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 17:47, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
No problem! I was following a combination of #6 and #8 of Category:Stale userspace drafts and made the move before checking whose draft it was. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 06:30, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Ah I see, I never saw that before actually. No harm done I guess. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 08:27, 10 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey

If you ever get a moment please could you help on a few file reverts?

The editors upload terrible replacements and do not bother to update the fair use or anything. Thank you if you can help.Rain the 1 23:02, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey. I've done Tony, Susan and Sheila because I agree the previous images were better. Sienna's rationale was updated correctly and promo images are generally preferred to screenshots. The original Elly image is only 181px so I think it's actually too small. The current images for Esther and Sally are good promo images with very strong rationales. I will restore the Mandy image because it was replaced by a copyvio on commons but when that was deleted it wasn't replaced with fair use so there is no image in the article currently.
This has happened with a lot of EastEnders images as well but mostly I just let it go because they are good promos with good rationales. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 23:25, 9 March 2018 (UTC)
Okay then thanks for the help. I will find better one then for Elly, as I think it is lazy job. I will admit I presumed they had not been updated. This was only because the Sienna image has "This image is a screenshot of a copyrighted television program..." license.Rain the 1 21:00, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Yes you're right, I didn't check the licence. People often forget that one. I just change it. I'll do it for the Sienna image now. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 21:18, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Hey @Raintheone: and Anemone, I think that Shelia's image was right to be revered as the one I provided was inferior looking back on it now. However, I feel that Susan's previous image is inferior, a portion of her head is chopped off. The image is nearly 6 years old now and I also feel that it is outdated. I don't care if my image is restored or if a new one is uploaded but I think something else is needed. As for Elly's image, The reason I uploaded a new one was for the exact reason stated by Anemone, it was only 181px and it appeared a little fuzzy. The replacement I provided was the best I could find out of my 10 screenshots I gathered. I found it difficult to find a good one of her for some unknown reason. I have another good look and have uploaded the best alternative I could find and I reckon it is a big improvement to the last. — Hatio93 Talk 03:32, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
@Hatio93 and Raintheone: The reason I prefer Rain's image of Susan is because her expression looks a bit more neutral but I'd be happy for a different one to replace it. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 08:13, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
If you did find another picture of Susan, would you make sure the character is placed at the center. It looks so bad when people upload efforts with the subject hidden in the corner, looking down and pulling silly faces. Elly has a range of facial expressions and I agree it is difficult to get a good one for her article. I think Susan looks the same as she did 6 years ago. Rain the 1 20:48, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

The Diplaytitle was removed because the title of the article EastEnders theme tune does not match to ''WestStarter ‘' theme tune. In order for the DISPLAYTITLE to be used, the actual characters displayed must be the sam eand the only changes can be things like italics and the first character being lowercase. It *could* be <nowiki>EastEnders theme tune<nowiki> , otherwise the DISPLAYTITLE should not be used there. See Template:DISPLAYTITLE for more information.Naraht (talk) 16:47, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

I understand that's why it was removed, but it had been vandalised, so I undid two edits in a row, yours to restore the template and the IP's to revert the vandalism. I hoped that would be clear when I put "part 1" in the edit summary. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 17:01, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
OK, I just managed to run across it at exactly the wrong moment. Thanx for all of your work.Naraht (talk) 17:07, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

How to Speak Eastenders

@AnemoneProjectors: Hi I assumed that How to Speak Eastenders was an EastEnders book as the cover on amazon shows Albert Square.

I don't own this book so I can't confirm the content but that it published by The BBC in America. Thanks Kelvin 101 (talk) 12:42, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

@Kelvin 101: That's ok. As it says on the cover "a brief glossary of cockney expressions" I think it's just that, but using the EastEnders brand. I'm just assuming but I don't think you'd find much about the show in the book. Someone would need to confirm that, but is it really worth buying from the USA just to find out? We could include it anyway as it looks official from the BBC and does use the brand... I also found it here: https://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/SearchResults?tn=Speak+EastEndersᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 12:58, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Halfway!

Hi AP - hope you are well. I have finished with my article on Halfway (EastEnders) (see here) and was wondering whether you would give it a check over when you get a chance? You helped me a lot with Babe Smith and I was hoping you could do a similar thing here. Thank you, Soaper1234 - talk 18:07, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

@Soaper1234: It certainly is long enough! I didn't expect it! I'll see if I can give it a read over the weekend (probably Sunday), as I'll be busy all next week. Also I should check my magazines to see if there's anything I think you missed but I can't do that this weekend :( But they can still be added after the page is moved if you want it done sooner rather than later. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 18:33, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
That would be brilliant thank you! I'm not too fussed when it is moved so you can decide whether to add before or after :) Soaper1234 - talk 20:11, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

@Soaper1234: a question - when Clay described it as "mad", is "it" his hairstyle? Also "Clay had his hair cut for the role of Halfway as he thought it would suit his character" and "Halfway has a haircut that suits his character's personality" is a bit repeaty, and although it's from separare sources, these could be combined. Also, "He told Laura-Jayne Tyler of Inside Soap that his relationship with Whitney and the romantic meal helped alter the opinion of Halfway as it showed he is a 'hopeless romantic'"... whose opinion is it? Thanks :-) Great article by the way. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 14:51, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

@AnemoneProjectors: Thank you so much for reviewing the draft! Yes, it is the hairstyle that is "mad", so I have changed that. Sorted the personality haircut statements. And it is the audience's opinion so I've corrected that. Thank you again :) Soaper1234 - talk 16:30, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
To add, (one) I didn't mean to ping you on your own talk page! (two) Did you decide whether you would prefer to move the draft before or after you added your magazine articles? Thanks, Soaper1234 - talk 16:46, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
@Soaper1234: lol and I don't mind, I think the article looks great so I'd be happy to see it moved over as soon as.... although do you think we can get those episode refs added first? — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 16:59, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Hayley's relationship

I'm not sure how accurate this is but according to OK Magazine, it says that Hayley is Stacey's first cousin and Jean is her aunt. Which I took to mean aunt-by-marriage. So Violet Slater had another child apart from Brian Slater who was the parent of Hayley. I assume said child would be a half-sibling since Brian's own father Russell Hale walked out on Violet while she was pregnant with him. It also says that she would be Kat AND Big Mo's (her grandmother) second cousin and that is why I'm not sure if it is accurate or not. Since Kat and Brian were first cousins, Kat and Stacey are first cousins once removed. So Brian's half-sibling and Hayley would be Kat's first cousin and first cousin once removed as well. Not exactly sure where they got the Bi Mo thing from. https://www.ok.co.uk/tv/eastenders/1300825/eastenders-hayley-slater-actress-how-related-stacey-real-name-katie-jarvis-mum-mother-jean-slaters Arjoccolenty (talk) 06:24, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

@Arjoccolenty: I'm not convinced that they know... she can't be a second cousin of both Kat and Mo so they probably don't know what a second cousin is or they just wrote it for the hell of it! Stacey and Mo aren't blood related, so Hayley should also be no relation to Mo. The only real evidence is that Hayley keeps calling Stacey "Cuz" so it's been assumed that they are first cousins, and that Brian Slater has a brother. And like you said, Kat and Stacey aren't second cousins, so that seems an unreliable source. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 09:46, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

I did one and then realised all the rest will need to be reduced in size, so once that's done there will still be revisions that need deleting. If they're tagged to be reduced, the rest will be done by bots. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 22:48, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

EastEnders WikiProject

Hi AnemoneProjectors. Hope you're well. I've just popped over to WikiProject EastEnders and noticed that something has gone a bit wrong with the coding. I think it could be something to do with the recent updates to the portal. Would you be able to help out when you get a chance? Thank you, Soaper1234 - talk 15:44, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

Fixed. I guess there's no need for each portal to have its own box footer as they're all the same anyway, so they all got replaced and deleted, but I guess they didn't expect it to be used outside of the portal namespace, as it was used on our WikiProject page. EastEnders soap villains

Some of the EastEnders characters on the soap opera villains page have been removed. Namely Mel Owen and Lee Carter and their sources. I was wondering if there was a reason for this?77.97.55.147 (talk) 11:38, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

I can only assume it was that editor's opinion that they're not villains. If someone is on that list with a reliable source, then they should stay on that list unless there's a discussion and consensus to remove them. I've reverted the latest edit. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 11:41, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
As for Mel, I think we agreed that someone who is only reported that they will arrive or return as a villain shouldn't be included as it looks like media speculation or sensationalism. So I would say her removal is accurate. If she is a villain we should use a source based on what reporters know she has done not what they think she might do. This is also why Woody Woodward was removed, because a reporter assumed he would be a villain when he wasn't. Maybe he was in the end but we'd need a different source, reporting on what he did in the end, not what they thought he might do in the beginning. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 11:46, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
I see. So you put Lee back. Were any others taken off or was it just those two?77.97.55.147 (talk) 19:50, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
I think Mo Harris was but I put her back as well. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 04:28, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi, just to let you know the series overview table has been changed and now looks a mess. I haven't reverted it because I will get told off for doing so. MSalmon (talk) 20:42, 9 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi AnemoneProjectors, I spotted your edit at the named draft with the edit summary asking for help maintaining the draft. The draft has been on my watchlist as I thought it was a good idea and thought I'd follow its progress, but I decided not to get involved as it felt rude to intrude. However, I would be more than happy to work on the draft with you if you like? Of course, if you would prefer to work on it alone then that is fine too. Soaper1234 - talk 10:57, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Hey, I always thought someone might have it on their watchlist... it was originally a collaboration between me, Junipers Liege and Frickative, but they've both left Wikipedia now. The plan was to write an out-of-universe section for each family, which we worked on up to 2014 2010, but anything that's happened since then hasn't been included. So Brannings and Slaters are out of date. For some I think it's probably ok to only have a family tree and maybe a short paragraph. I also hoped to separate the Jacksons from the Brannings and the Fowlers from the Beales, though in the early days the Fowlers and Beales are firmly connected - in more recent times, as Ian and Martin have grown up, their families are more separate, so perhaps it was right to keep them together all along. I think of EastEnders families as "units" rather than "trees", so people switch between families and family units all the time. So ideally I'd like more text for each section - updating the ones that are out of date, some trees could potentially be out of date as I've been the only one working on those, and the opening paragraph if there's anything more that could go there. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 11:15, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd be happy to get involved and help you with those. Soaper1234 - talk 11:23, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks! I think had those editors stayed around, that may have gone to mainspace long ago. Do you think it should be more about family units or family trees? To be honest I think just sticking to family trees is probably better because when it's in mainspace, we can make redirects and add all the families to all the infoboxes. Obviously tree part can only be the tree... but I do think that any paragraph could include other characters, like I just added in the Trueman part that when Patrick's the only one left, he basically merges with the Foxes. Then I was thinking how Steven isn't really part of the Wicks family, which is why he's in the Beale tree. Then I was thinking about Denise's influence on the Wickses while she was married to Kevin and even beyond that. Maybe I'm looking into it too much, because there are so many other examples. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 11:41, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Well, that is a target to aim towards. We should be able to get it into mainspace. I would probably say family units are more important, but based on the character's whole tenure. So, for Steven, I would associate him with the Beales rather than the Wickses as even though he is in the Wicks family tree, he has always been based within the Beale family unit. Whereas, I would place Patrick in the Trueman family unit with a note (as you have done) since he spent years in a Trueman unit, before being intergrated into the Fox unit. Does that make sense? Soaper1234 - talk 13:01, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Yes, that makes sense. So if we were to write up a Wicks section, we'd mention how Steven fits in but if there was any storyline detail it would probably better belong with the Beales. Whitney is another one - she's a Butcher who became a Carter and is now a Butcher again but lives with the Slaters. It's when characters marry and have children that I get confused, but you can see examples like in the Cross family tree, Tanya's children are not listed, and when you go to the Beale family tree in that article, Maggie's and Bianca's children are not listed. But Bianca and Ricky plus all of Bianca's children fit nicely into both the Jackson and Butcher families - I guess we keep them in both places. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 13:29, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Yes, that's my thoughts. I'd stick Whitney in with the Butchers and Jacksons like Liam, Tiffany and Morgan and just have her mentioned in the Carter family. I think what exists with Tanya's, Maggie's and Bianca's children (the "see x family" note) works well and looks good. I'd also agree that Bianca, Ricky and their kids fit nicely in both Butcher and Jackson family sections. Soaper1234 - talk 13:57, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Had Whitney stayed with Lee and made babies it would be different but she's definitely reverted to the Butchers/Jacksons now, so she's just brief mention in the Carters. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 14:05, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, I'll agree with that. Soaper1234 - talk 14:11, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Well if you find any other oddities like that, let me know. There probably aren't that many others. Though I do think Pat is deserving of her own family tree. There hasn't ever been a Harris family unit, but it would show all Pat's marriages in one place, plus link to the Slaters via her brother. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 14:18, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Addendum on Hayley

This recent link seems to point to Hayley being Stacey's first cousin and being on the same branch. I take that to mean that Hayley's comment about "uncle Brian" meant that Brian is her uncle, meaning that Bev is his half-sister and the first cousin of Kat.

https://www.ok.co.uk/tv/eastenders/1300825/hayley-slater-eastenders-katie-jarvis-actress-how-related-stacey-real-name-mum-bev-jean-slaters

Arjoccolenty (talk) 05:26, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for that. OK are referring to the time Hayley called Stacey "cuz" but I still think that's not confirmation that they're first cousins. She did call Brian "uncle Brian", but I'm thinking she might have still called him that even if he wasn't technically her uncle, but it does seem more likely that Hayley is Stacey's first cousin. I assumed Bev was married to a Slater (maybe Brian's (half-)brother) rather than born a Slater, but I haven't seen last week's episodes yet. I'd still rather have confirmation from EastEnders itself... but if editors agree that it's been confirmed then I can't really argue — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 09:49, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
LOL If you are gonna wait for the show to clarify, then you will be waiting for a long time or even forever. I would just like to point out that they NEVER revealed when Roxy and Sean got divorced and with Roxy dead and Robert Kazinski a big Hollywood actor now, it probably will NEVER happen. As for Bev being married to Brian's half-brother, that might be a possibility but I get the vibe Bev is the type of woman who is easy. That is original resource so it has no bearing but its what it feels like. Arjoccolenty (talk) 03:32, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm well aware I could be waiting forever or a long time, especially as they no longer have character profiles or family trees on the website. However, it's totally different to them not confirming a divorce. Who cares when they divorced? People want to know how Hayley fits in. Bev being a Slater by birth may explain why that side of the family has been estranged for so long, but there are still two possibilities so we can't assume either way. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 07:43, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
I suppose I should accept that Hayley is Stacey's first cousin though. It seems the most likely situation. Also, I was unaware that Hayley had also been referred to as Jean's niece. You could have told me that. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 08:00, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
A lot of people wanted to know when that marriage ended as we both know that occasionally going either to Sean or Roxy's pages they put an end year which is reverted because its unsourced.
As for telling you about Hayley being Jean's niece, I did. But the source was unreliable because it said that Hayley was also Big Mo's second cousin when that is obviously not the case as Big Mo is the Slater sister's maternal grandmother. It is User talk:AnemoneProjectors/Archive 13, under the heading "Hayley's relationship". Arjoccolenty (talk) 17:50, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
People adding a year are simply assuming, it's not necessarily that they want to know when it ended but they assume that's when it ended and think the information on Wikipedia needs to be "corrected", potentially the same with Hayley, because they think saying "cuz" means you're first cousins. I'm sorry I didn't remember the previous discussion, but the reason I didn't recall back to it is because I assumed your recent edit summary ("it fits with her being said as Jean's niece)" was because it had been said on screen in episodes I hadn't seen yet, not in an old source that I already told you was based on an assumption and not anything that has been mentioned on screen or confirmed by the producers, writers or inside sources. — ᴀnemoneᴘroᴊecтors 18:04, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

I'd hold off on moving it to the mainspace, as it doesn't seem quite ready. The Michael and Simon sections are barely sourced. What makes them notable enough for a section? You should also move Faye's section from the Willis family page to the list too, as that page will be deleted/redirected eventually. It was created as a place to keep the information from the individual character articles, which were redirected as they weren't notable at the time. Leave an edit summary at your draft along the lines of "Moving content here from Willis family#Faye Hudson. See that article's history for attribution" like I did for Zac here: [4]. You should also provide attribution for the info you've copied and pasted from other articles (and maybe check for dead links), per WP:COPYWITHIN. - JuneGloom07 Talk 23:48, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

It's just most everyone bar Brenda had their own article and I've been looking for something do on Wikipedia for ages and was bored spinning my wheels on dead ends and old territory. Also. I didn't want to pilfer info from Gaby and Melanie for Simon too tough as it'd look obvious and have pulled up on similar strokes in the past. He was a moderately significant guest character, albeit a plot device in their stories but I can kick him to others and probably stick Michael there too. Believe me I have been looking, 10th ann book hasn't really helped too tough. And it doesn't help that Fred Whitlock is barley acting these days and there's virtually no record of his time in Neighbours. Conquistador2k6 5 October 2018 10:36 (UTC)

Reopening this topic, only this time it's for User:Conquistador2k6/List of Neighbours characters (1987). Page has history, I created it when I was still a bit of young, green editor way back in 2010 and it was eventually reverted. I'm looking to merge the article history instead of an outright copyover. Whitney and the Butcher kids

It happens every now and then when Whitney is listed as an adoptive sibling (like today). How about foster sibling instead? In the real world, guardianship is covered on websites by government and children and family charities along with fostering and adoption and guardianship is slap bang in the middle of both: it's more permanent that fostering and usually, the child is with family (this case, Bianca was her dad's partner and the mother of her presumed half-sister), but a step down from adoption and ends at 18 (like fostering). Some links are these: [5][6]. And in the EastEnders universe, Whitney does have a sibling bond with Liam, Morgan and Tiffany and news refers to them as "sisters", the show themselves in scripts refer to them as "sisters". Grangehilllover (talk) 10:44, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

I've reverted the changes for now because Whitney definitely wasn't adopted. But Whitney does have a sibling bond and if it's a level up from being fostered then they should be included. Is there a term we could use that isn't "adoptive" or "foster"? If not then I suppose we should use foster. — anemoneprojectors 10:51, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
There is no term, but I'd say fostering due to the similarities. Grangehilllover (talk) 11:14, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Ok then I agree. — anemoneprojectors 11:18, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: Wouldn't Liam, Tiff and Morgan be under the half-sibling parameters? Bianca was her sole guardian and Morgan has a different dad to the 3 of them too. Grangehilllover (talk) 11:24, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: Well I did think about that, so possibly. But what would happen if a single parent adopted a child, and therefore that child only had one parent? Would we still list them as adoptive half-siblings of that parent's natural children? — anemoneprojectors 11:26, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Yes. They'd be half-siblings if they weren't adopted by their adoptive parent's children's other parent. Grangehilllover (talk) 11:29, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Ok cool. But if a single parent adopted two unrelated children, they would be... full adoptive siblings? — anemoneprojectors 11:35, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Yep, because they'd share the same parent. Grangehilllover (talk) 11:41, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
I'm getting totally hypothetical now but what if that single parent of two adopted children got married and the spouse then adopted one of their partner's adopted children but not the other? — anemoneprojectors 11:45, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: Then they'd be half-siblings with the same parent and one having an additional parent. Grangehilllover (talk) 21:01, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Well I hope that never comes up in the soaps! — anemoneprojectors 21:45, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: Does the same thing apply to Bobby to Steven and Cindy? Grangehilllover (talk) 16:20, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: Hmm...... I feel like the connection between Bobby and Steven/Bobby and Cindy isn't quite the same as the one Whitney has with her "foster" siblings... like, Whitney's is really obvious but Steven and Cindy were out of Ian's life more than they were in it, it seems not quite right, especially with Steven as he is an adult when he comes back in 2007... what are your thoughts? — anemoneprojectors 16:28, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: Cindy and Bobby did begin to develop a bond when Bobby was recast to Eliot Carrington and there scenes as "brother and sister" were praised during the 30th anniversary. With Steven, yes, his scenes with Bobby were minimal due to the age gap, but Lucy and Peter rarely interacted with Bobby either due to their ages as well: I mean, look at David and Simon, who never were together on screen. Grangehilllover (talk) 20:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: I think the Cindy/Bobby/Steven thing would need wider consensus. Bobby is a half-sibling to Lucy and Peter, so is listed regardless of the amount of interaction, but my thoughts are that if we put Cindy and Bobby as foster-siblings then we still shouldn't put Bobby and Steven as foster siblings because Steven returned as an adult - similar to why we don't list Tanya as Bradley's stepmother. But I forgot about the 2007–2008 period when Steven was in it and Bobby was played by Alex Francis, so maybe there is a connection there. Do we actually have reliable sources that say Ian was guardian of Steven and Cindy? What was Bev Williams to Cindy? What will Max and Rainie be to baby Abi? — anemoneprojectors 22:23, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: I don't know if you saw 1996 episodes where Ian and Cindy split and entered a custody battle: Ian fought for custody for Steven along with the twins, was recognised in court as being Steven's dad and when Cindy took Steven and Peter to Italy and Ian wemt to get them back, he was allowed to take them from Cindy back to the UK and when Cindy was briefly given custody and then arrested for attempted murder of Ian or something, Ian gained custody of Steven and the twins. Regarding Cindy, I once put a source and it was from an episode in 2014 when Ian found out Cindy was pregnant, he thought Liam was the dad, so went to confront him and spouted out "I am her guardian." Bev Williams did appear in EE and wanted Ian to take custody of a baby Cindy Jnr way back in 1998, but custody was given to her and Cindy Snr's sister, Gina. Max and Rainie are already blood relatives to Abi, but their situation is something called Kinship care? I think it slightly differs from special guardianship. Grangehilllover (talk) 23:10, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

@Grangehilllover: I did see them but it was 22 years ago. Steven's Wiki says "Cindy fights for custody and wins" and says she is arrested and then it implies that Steven lives with Ian but gives no further information, so maybe we should add something about Steven going back to Ian and Ian being granted legal guardianship or whatever. Regarding Cindy and Ian, cool, no problem with that! I know Bev (and Gina) had custody of Cindy, my question is should we list her (them) as guardian(s) as well? Gina and Bev are also blood related to Cindy Jnr.... like Max and Rainie are to Abi Jnr. Max and Rainie are currently the ones parenting Abi, so like Gina and Bev, should that also be included under the adoptive parent parameter? — anemoneprojectors 11:32, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

@AnemoneProjectors: Unless we just note (guardian) next to them (so like grandfathers = Max Branning (guardian or aunts = Gina Williams (guardian). Steven was brought up believing Ian was his dad and that never changed in the nearly 30 years on the show, despite finding outt Simon was his biological dad and spending years with him. Cindy Jnr knew Cindy Snr as her mum, despite her dying during her birth, called Gina her auntie, not mum. Grangehilllover (talk) 12:22, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: Well if we were to add Bev and Gina for Cindy under adoptive parents and Max and Rainie for Abi, I would't suggest removing them from how they are related by blood... but adding (guardian) or something like that next to them as you suggested seems like a good idea. — anemoneprojectors 12:38, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: So, shall I do that? Grangehilllover (talk) 13:24, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: Yeah go ahead. If anyone objects then it can be discussed further. — anemoneprojectors 13:26, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

Bex and the Slaters

I just wanted to ask how Bex isn't considered part of the Slater family when she is part of Stacey's family within her family like Stacey, Lily and Arthur are part of Martin's family within his family - they're the Fowler branch of the Slaters and Beales. Bex was a minor upon marriage (15) and Stacey literally stepped into the role of being a mum to Bex when Sonia was in Kettering. Say f Sonia married Tina a few years back and so, became Bex's stepmum, are we saying that if that occured then, Bex wouldn't have been part of the Carter family purely because her stepparent is a woman? Grangehilllover (talk) 11:24, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

@Grangehilllover: I guess I was thinking more of now than at the time, so I should apologise, and I had forgotten that Stacey stepped into that role while Sonia was away - I was thinking that Bex just stayed with Sonia. I was going to object but as I've typed my reply I've been thinking about it and I'm happy to self-revert. The question is, does a Fowler family unit actually still exist or is it just the Slaters, with some people called Fowler being in the Slaters, and Jacksons, with some people called Fowler being in the Jacksons? Ok that's complicating things... maybe forget I asked! — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 11:39, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
However, I don't think the Slater family should be listed in Bex's infobox because she's primarily, notably and defined as a Fowler (Beale) and Jackson (Branning) family member, and adding the link adds no context - it doesn't show how she's related to anyone else not already listed in her infobox (because none of them are blood related) and the article doesn't mention her other than in the tree. I'm ok with her being in the tree but in a real-world context, she's not notably part of the Slaters and it is not a defining family unit for her. — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 11:45, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
This is how we should think about EastEnders families - from a real-world perspective only, not based on a fictional family tree. That's why Mo is a Slater, Babe is a Carter, etc. But Bex isn't a Slater, and people can move from one family to another but they tend not to be in two families at the same time (with some exceptions). — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 11:47, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
@AnemoneProjectors: Say if one day Martin splits from Stacey for good and remarries, whoever he remarries won't be Bex's stepmum (or stepdad) because from October 2018, Bex is 18, likewise with Sonia if she gets married. Stacey will be her only stepparent. Grangehilllover (talk) 13:56, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
@Grangehilllover: Agreed but from a real-world perspective, Bex isn't part of the Slater family, notably or definingly. — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 14:05, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Slater family

Hi AP, hope you're well. I'm quite happy with the work on the Slater family draft and think it could be ready for mainspace. Would you be able to take a quick glance and see what you think please? Thank you, Soaper1234 - talk 22:43, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

I've been meaning to for ages but it got so long! I'll have a look soon, I promise :-) — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors📽️🌼🗨️💬 22:54, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm in no rush anyway Soaper1234 - talk 23:00, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Oh good. Silly question but while you're here... can everyone see the emojis in my signature or do I need to get rid of them? — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors📽️🌼🗨️💬 23:13, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Nope, all your emojis are there - in your signature and your talk page banners! Looking very colourful! Soaper1234 - talk 23:18, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
That's good. More people should have emojis in their signature! I found out once that my amazing signature didn't work how I wanted it to in some browsers and it looked awful! — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors📽️🌼🗨️💬 23:23, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Perhaps they should! It's all good in my browser! Soaper1234 - talk 00:09, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
Apologies for moving the draft into mainspace before you had chance to have a look through. Hope you don't mind. Also, well done for managing to catch up on EastEnders! I noticed you added last night's episode into the draft. Soaper1234 - talk 11:06, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Well I was a little shocked but it's totally fine because I'm sure you've done an amazing job, it looks great but I will give it a proper read through when I can and make any changes I think it might need. I like that it's basically plot-free, meaning it won't become a dumping ground. Now if only the other family articles could be like that! I managed to catch up by watching one episode each morning so I knew I would eventually. Last year I was really busy with work in December and had to watch two episodes a day to catch up in time for Christmas, this year I've had no work this month so in a way it's been good. I had some spare time last night so I watched yesterday's episode in the evening instead of this morning :-) but I'm back to work in January so I'll start to fall behind again, hopefully not by too much - I'll need the weekends to catch up but some weekends I might be too busy. I don't know what I'd do if they added another episode! — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 11:14, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Sorry about that. Thank you for still agreeing to have a read through too. Wherever possible, I prefer an article with lots of plot as it can often take over, like you said. It sounds like you've been quite fortunate with work! It's been nice seeing you active again. Well, hopefully they won't be adding an extra episode - I'm not sure the show is quite ready for that! Soaper1234 - talk 12:14, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the improvements so far on the article. Is the two columns for the family in the infobox working for you? Not that it's a problem for me, but they aren't showing up for me. Soaper1234 - talk 12:30, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
No probs, well it does work for me, does it still show up as one column for you? It could be down to the column width, so it may be two columns on some screens and one on others. I thought it would work for all because the infobox is meant to be 22em and I set the columns to 10em but I just checked the mobile version of the page and it's a single column. But as long as it doesn't look odd in any way it should be fine. — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 12:36, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
It's only in one column for me, but I'm not fussed. It doesn't look odd so there isn't really an issue! Thanks :) Soaper1234 - talk 14:20, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
Ok, well it should be one for some and two for others. Reduce the column width in preview (without saving) and see what happens... — 🌼📽️AnemoneProjectors💬 14:22, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
