Hikipedia[edit]

I am currently gathering feedback about the Hikipedia project. Could you please give me some feedback about the Hikipedia site? Would you consider contributing to Hikipedia?

Hi Lukasz,

Yes that looks like a promising site. Most likely if you tried to post that type of information on wikipedia it may end up rejected for being "non-notable", in the sense that it is primarily of interest at a local level. Unfortunately I'm not sure that I'd have much time to contribute to your page as I'm already pretty busy with other projects. Thanks.

I like Hikipedia! Very cool how you get a map, weather report, books, trail reports, ranger station contacts, and the rest all on one page. Probably won't contribute myself, though--I contributed to Mt. Si because it's local, not because I hike very much. But keep up the good work! (And in response to the post above, some of this content might be appropriate for Wikipedia. Really depends on a case-by-case basis.) --Lukobe 17:52, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for taking so long to reply; I just don't have much time to spend on Wikipedia lately. Anyway, I like the Hikipedia idea, though I just go on casual hikes from time to time, so I may not have much to contribute. I may submit a few photos if I take any good ones.
