Meeting in Mumbai[edit]

Hello! Barry Newstead, who was recently hired as the Foundation's chief global development officer, comes to Mumbai 20-21 Sept as part of a weeklong India visit.

He and I are hoping to meet with wikipedians in Mumbai on 20 Sept eve - informally, to share and discuss the Foundation's plans for India, and to hear from the community on how to boost and strengthen projects in English and other Indian languages.

Would you be available and interested to meet with us on Mon 20 Sept eve?

BBC Wikipedia Documentary[edit]

Hi there

I am making a BBC Radio Documentary on Wikipedia and wonder if you know anyone that would describe themselves as being addicted to editing Wikipedia pages? Someone that can’t resist getting home, turning on the computer and editing more and more pages on Wikipedia. Please let me know if anyone springs to mind.

Best wishes

Peter

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Seminar hall vjti requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Rail vihar[edit]

It is OK to have incomplete articles, arguably, every article is incomplete, but posted articles must meet minimum criteria, and "Rail vihar" did not. Consider starting a version in user space, where it is less apt to get deleted. If you don't know how, just ask.--SPhilbrickT 17:21, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
