File permission problem with File:Reach Sambath Best Reporter His Bike.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Reach Sambath Best Reporter His Bike.jpg, which you've sourced to Neth Pheaktra and Keo Kounila.. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:52, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

response to your question[edit]

Hello, Anilakeo. :) As my userpage says, I prefer to conduct my conversations about volunteer matters transparently, on Wikipedia. Because there's no privacy concern in your email, I am responding here.

You are not required to contact the administrator who deletes a page prior to creating a new one on the same subject. What the text says is, "If you are recreating a page similar to the previously deleted page, or are unsure, please first contact the deleting administrator using the information provided below." It's helpful to read the reason a page was deleted and decide if this will be a problem for the article you want to create. In this case, the page was deleted because the person who created it violated the copyright of one or more of his sources. As long as your article complies with our copyright policies (see Wikipedia:Copy-paste for a brief overview), there is no reason at all that you can't create the article you would like. In fact, replacing articles that are deleted for copyright problems only is much appreciated. :) If there were more time and people working in copyright cleanup, I would love to see all of them replaced. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:35, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Mu Sochua  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 08:09, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Oshwah. I made a mistake, but I reverted it. I was creating a similar page of a Cambodian female politician. Anilakeo (talk) 08:12, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Kong Bunchhoeun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
