- Hello, you had posted at Roger Dodger's page, and this person asked me to comment because I am from WikiProject Medicine. The major problem with the article is that it does not cite any source which is independent of the stakeholders of the success of the product. Currently, the sources mentioned in the article are the product's own marketing page and the manufacturer themselves. For this article to go live, identify 2-3 sources which were not published by people who have a financial stake in the product's success. Take information from those, cite the sources, then re-submit.
- When making any health claim, it is expected that sources cited will comply with the guideline at Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources (medicine). I hope you understand that the guidelines are in place to maintain quality here. Let me know if you need assistance on-wiki. Blue Rasberry (talk) 11:47, 12 January 2015 (UTC)

Your initial article
[edit]Hiya @Animall: Thank you for the invite to take a look at your initial start-to-finish article which was - as you see above - not accepted and several people explaining carefully why. In the time I've been around the project, I've seen dozens of new contributors start just as you did - write about something close and personal - get shot down and then turn around and realize that the gift of Wikipedia is not writing about one's own self, but about the great and interesting world around us.
For example, if you google my name, you'll find I have quite a few publications - mostly in herpetology. How many articles about frogs, toads, lizards, snakes, caecilians or crocodiles have I edited .... Zero. I consider it a conflict to edit within the sphere in which I'm one of the published authorities and I'm leaving it to people who don't have a pile of titles on the shelf to contribute to wiki because it is through their winnowing and learning that knowledge comes flowing out.
Please take some time and observe other articles. One of the best places, IMHO to observe WikiQuality at work is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_talk:Did_you_know#Current_nominations where you can read all sorts of interesting new articles and see experienced editor comments on what works and what doesn't work. After at least a week of really looking at that process, go back and take a look at your suggestion - and I think you'll see everything a lot clearer. Again, please don't hesitate to leave me messages, but try to do it here or on my talk page?? I'm an admin at Commons, but not here and can't do more than offer advice... which is read a lot first... look at all those funny little numbers after practically every sentence and how they lead to reliable secondary sources... observe the neutral point of view in articles, no fanboi and no cheerleaders here... and then see that each article is edited and reedited to the point where there's no "mine" anymore, merely "the articles." [edit]My comment at User talk:Onel5969 was in a different thread and not a reply to your comment. That's why I had a header noting it was a different topic. Sorry if that caused confusion. —C.Fred (talk) 03:08, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
