Hey!!!

Hey, quit stealing my jokes! I paid good money for those laugh lines!

But, but, but! I can't steal what's free! Animum · 03:27, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Hello! I just wanted to pass along my thanks for your support in my RfA from earlier this week. I hope I did not disappoint you. I am going on Wikibreak and I will let you know when or if I am back on the site -- I am trying to take time away to clear my thoughts and refocus on this and other priorities. Be well. MoveRV script

Just a note, if you use the edit-API to revert the move, you don't have to delete the redirects as you can set noredirect=1. Mr.Z-man 19:12, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

So &noredirect=1 will delete the redirects as well when you submit the move? —Animum (talk) 14:10, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

I see you've adopted Cream, one of my favourite playmates.

Block script

Great creation, thanks so much for it. I'm script-dumb but trying to learn to use this rather than Twinkle so the one-step is much easier. I thought using "Name+indefinite" would create {{spamuserblock}} but it doesn't. Is there a way to block on this grounds with the tool? Thanks! TravellingCari 02:30, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

I've added a new option to the script, "Spamname+indefinite," which will do just that. Best, —Animum (talk) 00:13, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
and it worked beautifully! Thanks! TravellingCari 02:05, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

The shits too short; the sentence bout covers should just be in one of tha othe sections. My bad for not sayin nutin before

Thank you

Hi Animum. I would like to thank you for your support in my RfA and the confidence expressed thereby. It is very much appreciated. :) The RfA was closed as successful with 73 supports, 3 opposes and 4 neutral. I would especially like to thank WBOSITG for nominating me. Best wishes and thanks again, —αἰτίας discussion 23:14, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Block script

It looks like there is a small bug in the blocking script, as this edit was a bit strange. Other than that, it's been working great. Thanks, - auburnpilot talk 01:50, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

It's probably a bug with the API editing interface; I'll revert to the old-fashioned way of using index.php. —Animum (talk) 22:33, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
checkY Done. Please let me know if there are other problems or if this one persists. Animum (talk) 22:41, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Keeping one thread re potential bugs. Script appears to be blocking appropriately but as seen here, isn't tagging appropriately. FFX 3 TravellingCari 02:37, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Northern Ireland flag userboxes

Just under a year ago you had a dispute with User:Setanta747 about a userbox. Could you please have a word with and if necessary enforce the same with User:Fennessy? Many thanks.Traditional unionist (talk) 19:41, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Can you point me to the XfD where the userbox in question was deleted? —Animum (talk) 20:00, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't think you were online so when the user in question reverted me after this report I made a report at WP:AN/I - [1].Traditional unionist (talk) 20:09, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
It's quite alright. Animum (talk) 20:10, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. The above user is misrepresenting an old discussion and threatening me contray to WP:MULTI. This kind of editing is hostile(does not asumme WP:good faith) and dishonest. And as far as I know the three revert rule does not apply to reverting vandalism on user pages. ʄ!¿talk? 19:47, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

You are in violation of concensus. This has been pointed out to you and as a result you have been reported to WP:AN/I.Traditional unionist (talk) 19:59, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

My RfA

Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which passed with a count of (154/3/2). I appreciate the community's trust in me, and I will do my best to be sure it won't regret handing me the mop. I am honored by your trust and your support. Again, thank you. –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 18:37, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey Animum. :) Whenever I block an IP/user with your script the user(talk)page is added to my watchlist. Is there any possibility to disable that? Best wishes, —αἰτίας discussion 23:00, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you. :) —αἰτίας discussion 18:13, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey. I'm very sorry, but I have a problem again. :( There is a new blocking option “cannot edit own talk page”. When blocking an user/an IP with your script this seems to be enabled per default. Thus I received this message from User:zzuuzz at my talk page. He advised me to have a look at this thread at the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. There it says that this new blocking option should just enabled in rare cases (i.e. continued disruptive editing during a block). So, is there any possibility to disable this new blocking option per default? That would be great. :) Thank you, —αἰτίας discussion 13:24, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Ah, yes. If a parameter is not specified in the data the script sends to the servers, index.php evidently interprets it as saying "no" to the option the parameter can enable; thus, if I do not specify a value for the "wpAllowUsertalk" parameter (which determines whether the blocked user can edit his own talk page), the servers will interpret it as saying "&wpAllowUsertalk=0", which would disable editing of a user's talk page. Technical jargon aside, thanks for telling me this, and it has been checkY fixed. —Animum (talk) 21:24, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks again. :) —αἰτίας discussion 20:36, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
