Speedy deletion

[edit]
As reviewing administrator, I removed the deletion tag you place on Elisa Pritzker. Needing further secondary sources is not a reason for deletion, let alone speedy deletion. The reasons for speedy deletion are given qaat WP:CSD--read it carefully, the details matter. All that is necessary to pass speedy criterion A7, which is probably what you had in mind. is an indication of possible importance. This is deliberately much weaker than actual notability. To pass AfD as sufficiently notable, the criteria are those given atWP:N and, in this case, WP:CREATIVE. If there is insufficient reliably sourced material to pass them, then the proper procedure is to look for it. Only then, if you cannot find it, should you nominate for deletion at WP:AFD. SEee our WP:Deletion policy.

Actually, at this point, having written one article, you are not yet at a point where you can reasonably try to review others' work. You need to do some more writing, and to observe discussions at AfD in your subject. DGG ( talk ) 19:47, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Speedy Deletion

[edit]

Hello DGG. Your message is somewhat confusing. I have written more than one article for Wikipedia, and they have not met with any challenge. I am a Professor of Art and Art History in New York City and am well versed in academic and encyclopedic writing and its needs.

I applied for Speedy Deletion for the Elisa Pritzker article so that I could obtain more information about the artist and re-write the piece and re-submit it without damage to my credibility as a Wikipedia contributor or to the subject of the article, Elisa Pritzker, an artist with a distinguished career of more than 40 years. Please explain how to go about this. Ann1apt (talk) 13:55, 19 April 2015 (UTC)undefined[reply]

Valeri Larko article

[edit]

Hello Wikiiisawesome! I have rewritten elements of the Valeri Larko article in a more neutral tone. How soon can the banner labeling it too much like a "news release" be removed? The article is now quite lean and additionally cited, as well. Thank you. Ann1aptAnn1apt (talk) 01:00, 24 April 2015 (UTC)undefined[reply]

Valeri Larko

[edit]

Re: the Valeri Larko article. The banner still identifies the article as needing additional citation, etc. The article has had several verifiably sourced citations added, for a total of 22 listed citations and a bibliography. Every paragraph in the article has at least one citation and usually more. Surely that's suffiencient to remove the banner? Thank you for your assistance. Valeri Larko article

[edit]

The banner regarding citiations is still heading the Valeri Larko article, though addtional citations, all from verifiable sources, have been added. The article actually contains more citations than some similar Wikipedia articles about living artists, and yet the banner on the Valeri Larko article remains. Is there an authorized editor willing to look into this and remove the banner? Thanks for any help. Ann1apt (talk) 14:45, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please start a discussion on an article's talk page before removing tags. The majority of of the material in the article is sourced to either the artist's web site or an interview with her (interviews are also primary sources), so the tag is appropriate. Fitnr 16:34, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fitnr, I entered a discussion on the article's talk page. You can see my reasoning there. Thank you. Ann1apt (talk) 16:53, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
