Why did you mess up the references??? Do you realize how hard I worked on them??? They were the way they were supposed be!!! I think you had good intentions (this is why I am not reporting you for vandlizum) but you did screw up. Please don't do anything like that again. --Miagirljmw14 Miagirljmw~talk 22:13, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Gloria Vanderbilt, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:24, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Gloria Vanderbilt. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 16:44, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Wikipedia:Editor assistance/Requests, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 16:45, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: E-mail[edit]

Yes, I did get your E-mail. Sorry if I yelled at you a little. I hope that you are aware though of Wikipedia's neutrality policy. If you will read the other things on your talk page then you will get the links you need. Yes, people can vandalize the Gloria Vanderbilt article (it has happened before, but the edits were reverted very quickly, but the same person). There is nothing I can do about it, I am not a administrator on Wikipedia you will have to talk to them about protecting the page. Also, you should note that no one owns an article (not even the person that it is about), the article is on my watch list and I do what I can to improve it. Wikipedia is an article that anyone can edit, if you do not like that (I am not trying to be mean here) then talk to the founder of Wikipedia User:Jimbo Wales. The only thing I can do is revert the vandalism I see in the time that I am on Wikipedia. Thanks, --Miagirljmw14 Miagirljmw~talk 20:42, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
