Professional wrestlers' infoboxes/children

[edit]

Please show me where it says in WP guidelines/rules that children are not to be named in the infobox. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 13:07, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That would be Template:Infobox person and WP:BLPNAME.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:57, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know, and thanks for the pointer—I'd never seen that bit before. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 00:25, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See, that's what I was talking about. Anthony12251 (talk) 01:06, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Infoxbox template

[edit]

In accordance with Template:Infobox person, please do not add personal information to the infoxbox that is not supported by sourced article content or sourced within the infobox itself. Also, the names of parents/relatives are not noted unless they are either independently notable or it is particularly relevant. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:52, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You restored the unsourced marriage and children to the Tom Bergeron infobox; as noted above the template documentation (and policy) requires that the information be supported either by reliably sourced article content or within the infobox itself.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:23, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Of even more concern is your edits to Brian T. Delaney where you added personal information sourced to IMDB, which you know cannot be used as a reference in BLPs, and then restored it when it was correctly removed, even blanking the hidden notes specifically advising not to add the material. That's a big problem. It means that I have to spend the next hour or so reviewing all of your edits for further WP:BLP and WP:RS violations. Bottom line: state your sources, and if you can't find one meeting WP:RS, don't add the information to the article. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:33, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • And by reviewing your edits your master account practically fell in my lap:

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kinect Rush: A Disney-Pixar Adventure, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bob Peterson and Martin Jarvis. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
