David and Anakin[edit]

Hi!

I don't know whom am I writing to, as I don't exactly know how wikipedia works - I'd like to point out a serious prank/vandalism on King David's page - they say that God anointed him because he had some relation with Anakin Skywalker. I tried to change this, but I was reported as a vandal. Could someone do something? I mean, it *is* funny, but...

Thanks

SA postcode area[edit]

I have edited the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SA_postcode_area to include Llansaint in the SA postcode area and added it the SA17 section as it has an SA17 postcode.

The bot only changed 1 of my edits, ive changed it back to the correct information but i dont know if the bot will remove the edit again.81.96.193.179 14:51, 30 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Bot mistook a redirect as being vandalism [1] - Tiswas(t) 16:56, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i was experimenting and i did not know there was a sandbox please forgive me,please i'll try not to ever ever ever ever do it again, oh and my teacher said wikipedia has false info.

Also...[edit]

Is there somewhere where I may see a programmatic listing of the AntiVandalBot rules? Would be interesting...

Umm, hidden in 500 lines of really hard to read python somewhere..... the code looks kinda bad right now -- Tawker 20:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cliff Padgett[edit]

I submitted a minor edit to the Cliff Padgett page that I created. However, the page is no longer available, probably because I forgot to log in first and the edit was considered 'anonymous'. I'm still learning the protocol for formatting my Wiki contribution and would appreciate any help you can give. Stan sfzeene@hotmail.com ````

Umm, what are you trying to do...... it should show up if you hit save regardless if you're logged in or not. -- Tawker 20:50, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not as active these days...[edit]

How come this BOT isn't as active any more? All I see on RC Patrol these days is MartinBot. Lradrama 09:30, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mostly because it didn't make sense to run 2 copies of the same code on the same toolserver. That and Martinp23 has more time than moi -- Tawker 20:49, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nitrium[edit]

I got a revert note about turning Nitrium into a redirect. I've been doing a bunch of those today, and this is the only one to get a flag. It was also the only one for which I neglected to include ]] at the end of the code. Maybe that's what caught the bot's attention. (Go figure, it did not take exception to the redirect I misspelled as "redriect".) Anyway. There ya go. Thanks for all your work! --EEMeltonIV 18:16, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, if the redirect syntax is borked, the bot reverts -- Tawker 20:49, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bot reverted legitimate edit[edit]

I removed photo albums from Tel Aviv and bot reverted me. Upset.--Doron 20:10, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Planet of the Apes page[edit]

The planet of the apes page has a stupid quote that has nothing to do with the movie so I tried to erase it. Please fix it because all I can do is erase it again and again, but apparently to no avail. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.210.47.66 (talk) 17:22, 8 May 2007 (UTC). [reply]

Meat Loaf - album sales[edit]

Yesterday I made corrections to the article about Meat Loaf.

"Bat Out Of Hell" - now: 37 000 000 (before: 35 000 000); "Bat Out Of Hell 2 : Back Into Hell" - now: 18 000 000 (before: 15 000 000); "Bat Out Of Hell 3 : The Monster Is Loose" - now: 2 000 000 (before: 1 000 000).

Why I changed that numbers? Because they were wrong. Example: http://www.easier.com/view/Lifestyle/Entertainment/Going_Out/article-113044.html

"2 May 2007 The album went Platinum in the UK on release and has currently sold nearly 2 Millions copies worldwide."

PS. I created new account: Sunset2007b (before: Sunset2007) because I forgot my password. I told you that in case you have doubts about who wrote that post. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sunset2007b (talkcontribs).

Umm...the bot did not revert your edit, but a vandalism edit that was made after yours. Your edit is still there. On a separate note, you may want to add a citation to support your change of numbers. +A.0u 21:59, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I edited this article and it was reverted. I changed the word 'f******' to 'fucked' as Wikipedia does not censor. Would you be able to rectify this please? - 144.136.169.107 15:16, 14 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Use of IP addresses not valid when notifying users??[edit]

I just got a message that one of my edits was reverted, but it was on a page that I have never edited and my user name does not appear on that page. It seems to me that since I have dyamic IP allocation, the IP address I have one day might be taken up by someone else the next day, so that contacting me according to IP address is meaningless! Also, we are told that signing in means that our IP address remains anonymous are we not? So on what basis was I associated with this vandalism? --Memestream 12:34, 16 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Vandal Warning[edit]

I was performing a reversion of an article, in keeping with a speedy deltion tag on Backmask (diff) when mistakenly warned for vandalism. Pastordavid 07:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

thinks i made a change to Gym entry[edit]

Vandal warning for King of the Hill=[edit]

This edit of mine diff was rolled back. I can only assume because I deleted all the images. I had to. The template changes to Episode List make the episodes go wacky when the images are in but not used. Since they don't show up anyway, I've been going through and removing the info from the episode pages. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 15:23, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
